There was no control. (or rather, no case study in the absence of diesel equipment to further suggest that it is actually diesel)
The study does not address particulate matter that could contribute, be linked to, or cause, said cancer. (or even interact with the diesel fumes to cause said cancer)
Diesel exhaust: Carbon, CO2, NOx..and when properly catalyzed.....nearly all harmful emissions are taken care of.
This study is simply a ploy to scare the public away from diesel use and used as a trump card for electrical technologies. So I've gotta call bullsh*t on this entire article.
The US has one of the highest rates and worst service in the world. I went to Ukraine..spent $5 on a SIM, $7 on airtime, and still have a 50 UAH card to bring home (that's now expired)..but the point is, I had faster service, and better coverage over there than I have here for 20x's the price.
+1, Sir.....+1.......and now even the salmon are wondering if it was a good idea to swim up-stream, because they're being made to come on shore whether they want to or not.
...is that if you're tired of your mother wondering if you're gay (or any friend or family member for that matter)....just buy a spindle of S-CDR's and leave them in the sun for a week.
They sent out a "Network Specialist" to trouble shoot my cable modem. I walked to the bathroom and stopped by the fridge to get a drink....in that short amount of time, I see the guy ripping cross connects out of my switch, (this has nothing to do with the cable modem, mind you)....and I wasn't even polite about it, "WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!"
his reply: "I'm testing the network, but everytime I do an ipconfig/release and/renew it gets a 192. address"
Mine: "NO SHIT SHERLOCK, that's an INTERNAL NETWORK IP....if you want the external IP you have to do the command FROM THE ROUTER YOU IDIOT......now back off for 10 minutes so I can fix what you've screwed up"
Network specialist my ass, how the hell did this article make it out of the "recently posted" section?!?
(Note: This was with Suddenlink....they're absolutely horrible, they don't understand the technology, cable TV or Internet...and I'll never move to another Suddenlink market again. I'm with Cox now, and I've got 55/5 and I'm please)
Not to mention the only reason that Apple is even competitive today is because the huge influx of cash FROM MICROSOFT that kept them afloat. Oh, how people soon forget.
I dunno....I think if a device is "open" it shouldn't be open to exploit for corporate greed. In a way it's a messed up version of when a corporation would steal another's ideas only in this case, the creator is giving said idea away willfully and still not getting anything out of it. "Oh I'm just happy my idea is being used"....if that's not the result of the worst case of pinko hippie indoctrination (i.e. crap) I've ever heard....I don't know what is.
This can be partially blamed on under-immunized illegal aliens as well. Pour the 3rd world into a 1st world country and you're going to have outbreaks of disease. (Not being racist, just stating a fact)
She's just pissed off that even though her genetic material combined in such a way as to make her drop dead gorgeous, she's still enough of a genetic defective as to produce flawed offspring. She's got to blame someone other than her own f*cked up genome.
Well it's NOT new. It's just that it's never been presented like it's news before. There's nothing new about it, and nobody's crapping on it. It's just someone trying to make it seem like these kids are inventive, and they're not. There's nothing amazing or spectacular about this. Now if they had built and airframe and used the garbage bags as the skin and flew it, that would be different. But no, this isn't news. The headline should've read something like "Kids take survailance photos with $50 worth of material" To make it say "aircraft" implies that it's a controllable piece of aircraft which it isn't.
Their break-even according to the bill of materials is $319. Personally, I think they should sell them at a loss to break into the market, and then make it up on the backend later. The hardware is sound, it's just a shame there isn't more development.
Not really. Per a discussion I had with an HP rep today, the final run is to cover all the ones they sold over their "Fire Sale" weekend, to the people who didn't get one ordered before 4am on the 22nd. Somehow I managed to get confirmed for 3 (due to their malfunctioning website)....but in hindsight, I'll probably buy all 3, if for no other reason than to have a spare, and I might use one for Android....but back to the point, he said there were 25000 orders and they only had 5000 in stock.
I think he should be named man of the 20th century. How one man would go against the grain, write his own OS to thumb his nose at "The Man", and just look at how much he's contributed to the world without even trying or expecting anything in return. He's like Gandhi of the digital era.
(the joke is in the title)...but it makes one wonder. Sure they had to sign a "I will not kill myself" pledge.....but they never signed a "I will not cause an industrial accident so my family can collect the insurance" pledge.
Thank you, Sir...your post mirrors my sentiments. This article is bunk and non-scientific. The only evidence is anecdotal at best.
Think about that for a minute.
Miners....in an enclosed space.

....a sh*t OS, processing sh*t code, running on sh*t hardware....
yeah, that about sums it up.
So Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer are finally going to tie the knot, eh?

Suddenly an Apple doesn't sound that bad...given the choice.

It's supposed to suggest that when the Vampire Apocalypse happens, it's okay because we can all just eat rice.

did I say there was anything wrong with that? *giggity*giggity*
..and that means we can go back to wantonly f*cking anyone we want...

Gawd forbid if there were an asteroid headed to earth and we had to land a team on the surface to blow it up. We're doomed!!!
That's a toddler's see-saw...it's just leaning that way because that kid had no friends.
I always knew that Windows was sh*tty....but this is ridiculous!
