why the USA blindly jumps to the defense of Israel for everything all the time? I mean... Israel comes across as Tommy DeVito as played by Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. Crazy little guy on a hair trigger who keeps fucking everything up for everyone. And the USA without fail jumps in with WE STAND WITH THE CRAZY LITTLE NATION ON A HAIR TRIGGER.
The "Nation of Laws" got acquired in a leveraged buyout sometime in the 60s. In today's America, if the corporations take notice of you... you're fucked.
Let's put an end to this please. Void all current and ban any further patent suits. Then, everybody can go home and have a party with Warren (Warren Cuccurullo) to celebrate the end of patent wars!
Bahahahaha, this is a stupid post. AND THAT'S THE WAY I LIKE IT.
Anyone who believes in this so-called "System" is just a shill for the liberal elite news media. I laugh at their so-called "arithmetic" and "science".
Enormous corporate success? Woz hasn't been involved with Apple in any significant sense since he cashed out back in 1987. He's still technically on the payroll and owns some Apple stock, but he's had nothing to do with Apple's success in THIS century.
When dealing with two groups of antagonistic groups, each claiming the absolute right to possess a certain piece of land because some invisible superhero who lives in the sky said so in a 100% totally true book (you know it's 100% true, it says so in the book)... perhaps one should just sit back and let them go at it. Maybe we could supply them each with weapons to hurry things up a bit.
I'd love to see the web stats for Apple.co.uk for the past few weeks. Whether it realises this or not, the UK court has ruled that anyone wanting to see Apple acknowledge the court ruling has to see an ad for iPad Mini / iPhone 5 too.
The Republican Party lost Massachusetts (where Romney lives), Michigan (Romney's home state and where his daddy was Governor), and Wisconsin (Paul Ryan's home state).
The people who know the Republican candidates best don't want them elected.
Microsoft always sold more on the desktop, even today Microsoft machines outnumber Apple machines 20:1
I daresay Apple machines outnumber Microsoft machines by a factor closer to infinity because there's no such thing as a Microsoft machine. Microsoft isn't - yet - a hardware manufacturer. If you're talking about operating-system-software licences then Microsoft peaked in 2004 with a Windows:Mac ratio of about 56:1. Now, if you include iOS as an operating system, the ratio has dropped to about 2:1.

I don't get it.

Also, Nate Silver is GAY.

Where "openness" is "doing only what Google says you're allowed to do"

...how once people get described as "a potential successor to Steve Ballmer" they mysteriously disappear...
See? Your science doesn't have all the answers.
It's a CYBER threat. That makes it more worser.

He basically called Silver a nerd faggot. That's not getting caught up in election hysteria, that's bigotry.

Yes, of course, because nobody used mobile phones before 2007. When iPhone was launched there were literally no other mobile phones in the world.
osx really isn't unix at all
Someone modded this shit "informative"?
for this article again? Do they get posted every time Apple posts quarterly results, or does Slashdot wait to do it annually?
...TIMES A THOUSAND.
You don't seem to understand how advertising works.
the year of Linux on the desktop!
Let's imagine that we're talking about a species of animals and their long-term prospects.
You know, it's a pretty common opinion that an asteroid impact combined with poor diet will completely eliminate most of them.
Can you work out the rest?
Or, put another way, the amount of profit Apple generates every two and a half days.
I guess you skipped reading comprehension in school, yeah?
You've fucked it up by treating "takeover" and "buy" as interchangeable.
Disney bought Pixar in a deal that saw Pixar take over Disney, in the same way that Apple bought NeXT in a deal that saw NeXT take over Apple.
