And that has changed how? Look at the crap like Spongebob Squarepants games or games based on various Disney Channel or Nick shows. It's just changed so we aren't watching the shows/movies they make the cheap and crappy games about as much.
I agree with your assessment of the Apple Apps. Ironically enough, I got most of my trouble from two Apple app's - Safari and Mail.app - even with Leopard, they are both memory hogs and can be slow and unresponsive. Also, I am not a huge fan of iChat - no tabbed windows - seriously?
I went to Camino and Thunderbird, and those run great for me - also Adium is definitely the way to go. I feel like 3rd party apps on Apple are very stable and good if you pick the right ones - but I guess you could say that about any OS. Also - TextMate - le awesome.
I thought a place like slashdot, we'd get rid of people throwing around the term bricking left and right. I was under the impression that bricking meant that the device was completely unusable, you couldn't turn it on and such.
All that is happening here is that the phone is being re-locked, and third party apps are being removed. Sure, not the outcome I could have hoped for (I liked my 3rd party apps and can always downgrade), but it's not bricking, and people claiming it is are way off-base.
I don't agree with Apple's actions, but you were given plenty of warning, had to say yes TWICE to upgrade, and knew the ramifications of this upgrade weeks or months in advance.
This is a very good point - one other question I have is - could you be notified about someone trying to buy something on your expired/over limit credit card? Because that would seem to be a good way to see if anyone has a leak into your information or can possibly get a credit card number from you.
Nevermind - I think I found it - I didn't see one with 2 GB of RAM - just 1 GB - but looks like a great deal nonetheless - here is a link.

However - we cannot always rely on Snopes - http://xkcd.com/250/
No fair!! You changed the outcome by measuring it!!

Just imagine what would happen if you told it to "Beat Up Martin".
I know - I was just speaking in general - also I don't think it supports that many protocols - bad example. Where is the option BTW?

Do you think they'd buy the "Act stiff and walk around like a zombie"? Or do you think that would just piss them off more?
You don't have to be faster than the zombie - you just have to be faster than your companions.
That makes sense - especially when they are testing on a laptop - I guess my reply was more with desktops in mind. Good point.
I'm confused - don't computers now use more power then they used to? Because of new software and being able to do more powerful things?
I mean - Vista will use more power than Windows XP, OS X will use more power than Mac OS 9.
Or is there a fundamental flaw in my logic that I'm missing here?
My favorite from that episode: Liubuot: Oh Fry, I love how you can - REMEMBER TWO THINGS
It still doesn't know who is in charge of Gundam.
And forget the data center!
And OpenOffice got some people to post as AC's to rip on KOffice. :-). *cough* Parent *cough*
You forgot a few - Kansas, Fight Fire with Fire Dragonforce, Through the Fire and Flames

5 bucks says this is the phone call:
"You lose the internets, please disconnect all cables and throw your computer out the window."
Neither - The Who.
Anyone else think this was Richard Nixon's head attached to a robots body?

I think you were watching/reading Mathilda before you fell asleep.
