    You have a point there however you shouldn't be thinking of it as some idealistic principal you should instead be thinking of it as a solution to a problem. Ideology encourages people to try to find a solution to a problem that best fits their ideology instead of just finding the best solution to the problem.

    Education is one thing Healthcare is another. Generally speaking neither side wants to "defund" education and yes I could say that with a strait face.

    The funny thing is that George Bush did a better job with our education system than our current President who last I heard is trying to do the same thing Bush did to address the issue. It really is amazing at how people can blame those evil republicans for everything even when they're not in charge.

    I would LOVE to have a simple 1 hour TV buffer. No record, no storage, just a 1 hour TV buffer to pause, FF, rewind. It cannot be that hard to make a simple inline buffer like that. But the likelyhood of seeing it in the next decade is slim partly because of patents and partly because there is no ongoing revenue stream from it.

    What are you talking about I use one of those it's called ThePiratebay.

    Area 51 may not have been an alien hide out or anything of the sort but the U.S. Government did do some really cool stuff there (well nerds think its cool). It's one thing to randomly try to predict the apocalypse it's human nature to want to know the unknown especially when your paying for that unknown thing by way of taxes.

    No actually it works like this.
    1. Republicans/Democrats convince suckers like you that their ideals are best and that their ideals protect them from being wrong.
    2. Democrats/Republicans do/say what ever they want because they have the majority convinced that one of them is right/wrong.

    By the time I'm home in the evening, even a slow DSL line could have a true DVD-level copy available for watching without interruption.

    They could easily get you good looking 1080p movies if they had 12 to 24-hours. But as others have already pointed out the technology isn't the issue the problem is that copyright wouldn't allow it.
