I lost my internet and cable TV because I was "Downloading" too much. They wouldn't tell me how much. They just cut off my service. So now, I don't have internet or tv. And I'm happy with that. I spend more time with the family now. I thought I bought an "Unlimited" service. They told me the INTERNET was unlimited, but NOT THE BANDWIDTH. Not sure what that means. I'm boycotting those bastards. I tell everyone not to use them. Why should I pay 55 bucks a month if I can't do what I want on the net? The USofA is free-falling. I'm saving the money I WOULD be spending on TV and INTERNET and buying stuff to stay afloat when the economy finally dies. It's not IF, it's WHEN. Our rights are gone...

Comcast Blacklisted me for downloading too much. I also pay 100$+ for cable and internet. They told me to upgrade to a business account or go elsewhere. I asked how much their business account was, they sent me over to a rep and put me on hold too long. So I hung up and finished my downloading. I woke up one morning to no internet. I called them up and told them to please cancel my cable tv too. Too damned expensive. Comcast sucks ass anyway.

It's a DVD-BURNER!!!! I used to work in a Retail Tech shop where this EXACT thing happened. A few years ago of course in a different big box store. This was NOT uncommon. You open nero, throw in a blank dvd, find some files, and burn them to the DVD to TEST the BURNING. If it WASN"T a dvd burner, then yeah, something would be weird. But with all the news about Best buy employees scowering your hard drive for pr0n, WTF do you expect!? Let him burn I say.

I worked at a "big Box" store. The techs used to backup the pr0n, and run cd-key stealers to capture all the awesome programs/games/etc serials. You can download just about any game online. But a valid cdkey? Hard to find... Unless you work in a techshop.

OMG! EXACTLY! If I had mod points, I would mod you up. If I went out and downloaded Ad0be Cs3 Extended, and tried it out and liked it. I would still never ever buy it. That's insane! 999$ for a piece of software? That's a mortgage payment! I would have never even considered buying it anyway. If I never used it, what's the big deal? It's just a piece of software. If I tried it for free, but never had any intention of buying it, where's the harm? If I share it to 100 people that were thinking of buying it, then yes, that's a little shady. They actually had the intention of "maybe" purchasing that software. I have no intention of purchasing music, software, or pretty much anything else. I need so SAVE my money due to rising costs of GAS, INTERNET, INSURANCE, HEALTH INSURANCE, the list goes on and on. If I need a piece of software, I jump on ubuntu and go hit a repository. Ubuntu has any piece of software you'd ever need. Once in awhile, I may buy a dvd of a "GOOD" movie. I dont see too many "GOOD" movies, therefore I dont spend a lot on dvd's. And I may buy a game here and there. But I test out the demo first or rent the game to make sure I actually want to drop 50 effing bucks on a game. Usually, renting it is enough. Unless, It's Halflife. Those games are worth buying.
