Because ads are annoying as all get out and they'll reduce traffic. I've enjoyed using craigslist almost since the day it was started for my city. Half of the reason for that is the simplicity of its interface and the lack of garbage. Will you greedy people please stay quiet and let craigslist continue to be awesome? We don't need another flash menu / ad / web 2.0 / rss / twitter filled pile of junk.

Seriously. Very few sites are as easy to navigate as Craigslist. They don't force unnecessary pagination for increased ad views. They don't base their entire layout around cramming ads into the middle of content that you're trying to read. The search is helpful and effective. The community around flagging / cleaning up garbage posts is pretty good. It's a tough site to beat. I hope they never jump on the idiotic web 2.0 bandwagon.

I quit paying to go to the movies when I realized that my surround sound system and HDTV with BluRay look and sound just as good as the theater. Not to mention the fact that I have an entire couch for myself, I can eat popcorn for $.50 instead of $5 and my drinks are practically free. At least if a movie sucks and I got it through netflix I can just turn it off and watch something else without having wasted $20.

Obviously there's a social component to the movies and I do go on rare occasions with friends when we all want to see something (e.g. The Watchmen). If movies and the snacks were reasonably priced I'd go more often... but they keep jacking up the prices. It's ridiculous.

Those people are meant to work in strip clubs, not films. If you can't act you don't belong in a movie. Just because there are a bunch of other famous people in the movie doesn't make you a good actor. It just means you're the eye candy and they're the ones that are going to make the film tolerable despite your complete inability to act. There are too many movies like that. It's dreadful.
