Because that blue border is hideous and should always be overridden. They could have included a caption letting you know what clicking it would do, however.
I totally understand that, yet the possibility exists for this happening without gold selling, and it's a fault of the game design. They are not duping money out of thin air, the money is being generated like any other player can and entering the economy. There exists a happy medium, somewhere...
I never said I did, or do. I am posing the question... I've been playing MMOs since UO, and have never understood the battle. The game companies get more subscriptions, the game is more friendly to rich casual players, and really I can't see a downside at all. The economy of the game can be affected, but pretty much every new game since EQ has implemented strategies that minimize or outright eliminate any effect it has.
As someone who has played just about every MMO that has come out, most casually except for 4 years of EQ, I still cannot understand why it's so bad or wrong for people to sell or buy game currency. In my naive opinion, it is mostly harmless if the economy is just a little more sophisticated than EQ, and benefits just about everyone. Tell me why this isn't true.
They put out an official walkthrough, which basically says don't use one.
The only thing they say that I disagree with is that it doesn't take trial and error. It certainly does, but that doesn't make the game any less magical. I am stunned by this game and how interesting it is, and that they managed to put a neat story around it. It's a bargain at $15.
There are walkthrough videos on youtube if you get stuck somewhere.
If you don't really care about your data, why are you asking slashdot how to keep it safe? You already have the answer, it costs $10, now get off my lawn.
I can't agree with everything you've said, but this is the most compelling argument I've ever heard on this topic. I don't have any Karma for you, but, well done sir.
Btw, there is no god and it was an absurd thought for man to even conceive of it. Mankind has more abilities than the rest of the species on Earth, but are not 'special' in comparison. The reason dogs can't talk but some birds can, is due to their vocal abilities. If a dog had the vocal range and acuity of a human being, it would be able to learn basic phrases even if it's brain wasn't evolved enough to get complex.
Java is the epitome of bad programming, despite all that you can do with it. It's just a terrible implementation of a great capability. I loathe its insurgence into the mainstream.
Hackers Paradise!! I want to see this site serving camcorder torrents of the dark knight by the end of the week, and the MPAA suing themselves shortly afterwards.
Good point, sir. Who is happy seeing a movie like that in crappy camcorder vision? Not I.
I went to the midnight show and saw it in glorious high-definition... but I've watched the crappy camcorder version twice, since. That's not piracy, imho.
Because then the speed advantage will not be realized. That's the whole benefit to quantum computing. If we tried simulating the quantum properties in software, the task at hand would take even longer than a standard software approach.
The problem with Compiz or the other stellar desktop environments for Linux is that they don't have the one advantage Apple holds on to: compatibility. Every machine they ship is capable of and pre-configured to look amazing.
When I first heard of Compiz, I freaked out and immediately installed a copy of Linux and configured it. It looks incredibly cool and ran great on my machine.. It makes the system a joy to navigate.
But... I can't survive on Linux, eye-candy or not. X has always seemed slow and clunky to me. I prefer it as a server environment (I have 2 co-located Linux boxes) with Windows as my desktop. It's the exclusive software for Windows that locks me in. Directory Opus and Newsleecher are the two best examples I can come up with.
Getting better eye-candy than Apple is no small feat. It is possible, though, but would require a huge shift of development resources and mindset. Everything would need to be re-thought, re-designed, animated, and smoothed... based on a looks-first, features-second methodology.
This is an awesome example of business 'process' flying completely in the face of common sense. It starts with the packaging for each license being completely overdone to begin with, and continues through to the pick-list in the warehouse where the workers are not allowed to use their brain and alter the process. I bet they worked that out real nice with Six Sigma *cough*.

Let's hope

Flamebait, really?... I thought it was worded pretty nicely.
How about I don't give a shit? I don't play the game to be special. Why do I care how he got it? Fail reason.

and how does it see through the bags (which reflect light quite well) ? lame and pointless tech! it will only raise prices due to purchasing it.

If religion were not the #1 cause of all war, dispute, and strife in the world, your argument may hold water.
Well, considering I just logged out of EVE prior to watching the trailer... it's not looking good, friend. None of your listed issues bother me, btw.

Another reason that java sucks balls and should be forcefully deleted from the universe.

I am a law breaker. I've smoked marijuana for 12 years. It's not 'wrong' just because it's prohibited by some ink on paper.

NASA denies it is involved in a nuke coverup, maintains that these astronauts are great americans, but does not share the same views on nukes.

bwaahahahahaha it runs on baby kittens!! :) I don't have any mod points for you, but you just made my day, thank you.
