A portable game engine for classic first person shooters such as DOOM, Heretic and Hexen. Lets you enjoy the original games using modern technology, including high-resolution OpenGL graphics, 3D models, and dynamic lighting effects.
I would think it should run thru Wine if it wont run natively. Hexen should be pretty cheap these days, and the expansion.
It would be difficult to get a true/real measure of this statistic. With other surveys (political or social) you are inclined to mostly tell the truth.
Personally, 99% of my music is legit (ripped from my CDs). There's a handful of downloads from the beginning of the decade and a few recent albums that I can't buy locally.
I'm not sure how valuable anecdotal "evidence" is, as I know many people that soley buy from iTunes, others like me that buy new or used CDs and others that only torrent.
I hate torrented/P2P music. It's rarely Tagged: If you want to continue to share your downloads you need to keep multiple copies - the original and the tag fixed files. The files themselves range between 128 and 192 kbps (sometimes 256|320) -- quality is either extremely poor or the file sizes are too big. I use EAC & Lame and VBR Q4 or Q6: decent quality and decent filesizes.

27 Days uptime isn't impressive. I could regularly get ~30 Days uptime with Win98+ME (some vxd/exe/and dll's replaced with ME versions). I reboot Win2K for the odd MS patch or the rare GPU driver update, i.e. every couple months or so.
Have I seen BSOD's? Sure, and almost all of them were caused by shitty Nforce Nvidia drivers. Or actual hardware failure due to overheating.
I know I run into (DPI) idiocy with OCR and PDF's all the time when trying to get images to fit properly without the image being an insane pixel H x W size. And far too many images being distributed online now are so large that you'd need that new AMD graphic card and 6 monitors to display them "full screen"!
I believe you are mixing up "DPI" with PPI. See DPI vs PPI
A 6x4" JPEG will be 72 DPI (and 72 PPI)
To get a 6x4" 150 DPI printable picture without quality loss you would need a 12x8" image..
AND if you wanted larger prints, without quality loss, then you need larger images to start with. Obviously though there is little need for the 2000x3000 px sized images that are floating about. And if one is that concerned about quality they'd be using a camera that can handle RAW.
You have to be joking right? How is it possible that mac has something like codecs so messed up that you need different players for different content of the same extension...
You mean increase an additional 100% (2x) every year on top of the normal 100% (2x) every 18 months. Quite frankly, almost every time I read interviews with Jen-Hsun Huang it sounds like he is talking completely out of his ass.
FF must be doing something wrong then, because Opera's address suggest dropdown doesn't have any noticeble delay at all. Granted it can also search text from visited sites, but I disable that indexing feature.

There's no Linux client, but Trillian for Windows. Appears that an OSX version is in development. It supports: Astra, AIM, Yahoo!, ICQ. Windows Live (MSN), MySpaceIM, Google Talk, Jabber/XMPP, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Bonjour, IRC, POP3 Mail, IMAP Mail
Apparently, not only did you not read the article, you didn't even bother to read the _Summary_ either: "To create the bone substitute, the scientists start with a block of wood -- red oak, rattan and sipo work best -- and heat it until all that remains is pure carbon, which is basically charcoal.
True Dat. Most useless fake "science" article I've ever read. Wondering why we dream? And saying science doesn't know. Bullshit. Why do we _think_. When you are asleep your subconscious is _thinking_. The rest of it is more twitter blurb bullshit.
I agree. I surf with Plugins Off: flash doesn't load. If its actually something I *want* to see, I 1)enable plugins, 2)reload page 3) disable em again. Thus all the ads are Text or Images/Gifs. If an animated Gif is freaking annoying, I uncheck "enable animated images" and it stops dancing.
It definitnely kills the point to the three or four other articles that have come up in regards to this. In fact I'm starting to think I should just wait a week or so before wasting time reading any news - give it a chance to settle and/or get retracted/modified/updated: Palm has iTunes Support. Apple Takes it away. Palm has iTunes Support... it will be news again when Apple takes it away.
Thanks. Interesting stuff. That was a cool Sunday foray.

I've used it under windows, its damn cool.

Try here, Cardboard brown is the new green for computers
Yeah a case review with no pics ( 2 miniscule images ). Sure.
So what yer saying is that MS Office formats should have codecs ?

Do you have any affiliation with FART?

And he didn't mention his publishers, either.
