Don't get me wrong, you sound like you make a hell of a geek wife, but alot of those things you mention are actually the things I love about women.
Sure there are times when I want them to just throw on a damn t-shirt so we can go to the grocery store, but there are also the times when I want them to spend time looking nice. Something just doesn't feel right if I'm not getting harrassed for buying the latest IPod. There is a nice system of checks and balances there.
I've used UPS's XML service for not only tracking, but also order processing and have had few problems. The XML gets a little complicated because it has some powerful features (especially for order processing).
I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has created any shipping solutions with the Fed Ex API. I've looked at it, but it didn't look nearly as nice as what UPS had.
The entertainment industry likes their sites, for the lack of a better word, "flashy." Flash enables graphic designers and non developer types to create sites that look good and contain little code.
You can also create some decent little games with flash, which is hard to do using JScript and HTML.
I know a lot of Apples users. Not one of them would buy a Mac for any other reason than its ability to do what they want it to do. Not one of them wants it to be a decoration.
If the users were allowed to max out their connections for long periods of time under their service agreement it doesn't matter. It isn't the responsibility of the customers to keep the business viable, it is the responsibility of the executives and employees of the company.
That is crap. Just because a user is using tons of bandwidth does not make them a criminal. The business plan was flawed -- and that is the reason they are going out of business.
Of course I can illegaly murder someone without too much effort, which is why I'm murder-laws. Murder laws means you can't legally murdur someone, but you can illegaly murder someone. That means the guy murdering me can murder me(since he's willing to break the law), but I murder him (since I am unwilling to break the law).

The Einstein Scrapbook is also a very good read on the life of Einstein. It is mostly just a printing of all of his personal papers/essays/letters that he left to be archived at The Hebrew University.
Soon after AOL bought ICQ they made it run on their own proprietary protocol. Until recently it didn't let it interact with AIM, but now they have opened that up.
HTML and CSS are both standards and can be validated at the W3C. As for Javascript I have the same question. It Javascript at all standardized? Does a Javascript validator exist anywhere?
Zach waS dancing to graduate.
Yes, but would a deaf person be able to hear colors and such?

I think that a public company trying to increase profits is the right thing to do.

Anyone who describes hockey as "just a crowded mess to play" has obviously never played.

Maybe they just realized that no schmuck on Earth would buy a new computer just to get a new color.

Or they can keep the money to help their bottom line, or have the CEO embezzle it. Corporations are not known to plant trees when they chop them down!
