  1. I am glad... on Data Mining In Law Enforcement · · Score: 0

I am glad to hear that the government is putting Data's lost head to good use... lets just hope they put his head back in the cave where they found it so that when the Enterprise finds it in the future, they will still be able to reattach it. You know, to help keep the timeline in tact. One can never forget about the Temperal Prime Directive. Plus, we wouldn't want Picard to die.... Data did a good thing by taking his life for Picards... we owe him in the current to not forget to put his head back where we found it.

This is worst than the third time Janeway took the borg head on by becomming a drone... probable but highly unlikely. One would think that a company that boasts itself in the media as much as Microsoft does for being an open book enterprise, that one of their Vulcans would give them a more logical approach. Think about it...

I totally agree that there should be a public broadcasting system in place, however, I don't think that because some people can't afford a convertor box, that fellow tax payers should be penalized over a luxery preference in tv viewing.

  5. Coupons eh? on Scammers Exploit DTV Coupon Program · · Score: -1, Flamebait

I am glad and all for the Television industry getting this upgrade, but.... really, old people who can't afford to purchase cable tv or a satellite dish (for the included conversion and tons of channels) should be forced to get a job. I mean seriously? Our tax dollars are at work here, and well, this is just all a part of the liberal agenda in this country. Make the elders work, atleast then they could watch some cable porn while taking of their classic salt baths. Think about it... seriously.

I think that AMD should really consider changing it's logo to a Green Mary Jane Leaf..... don't get me wrong, AMD has given us some revolutionary changes in computing, but they are making it hard for us avid oem system builders to side with them. Since Intel's C2D came out, AMD has been chillin in the background blowin bleezys. Hence, why they should change their logo. Think about it... seriously.

HD-DVD will never replace the DVD has a storage device on a computer, atleast not in the long term. A Blue Ray disc holds approximately 20 gigs more of data than an HD-DVD does. Until a DRM type anti-theft encoding measure can be agreed upon in the entertainment world so that small and portable solid state storage devices may be use to hold our beloved information, then Blue Ray wins hands down. If anything, give props to Sony for actually winning a battle for once.

Yes, the internet may be used as a terrorist tool, but fundamentally, regulating this part of our lives takes away from the first Amendment. The internet is just as much of a terrorist threat as the US mail, and even newspapers. I just somehow feel threatened by our Government trying to use scare tactics to get regulations in areas that would otherwise be left alone. There is a terrorist threat almost everywhere a person goes, and I'm not just talking about the local 7-11.

  12. Koreans are small.... on Exploding Cell Phone Battery Kills · · Score: 0

I will say this, via my experience living in Korea (over a year in length for the Army)... koreans are actually much smaller than the average american, and most of them have to have the biggest cell phone they can find....... now it is unlikely that a bettery could've caused damage this severe, but its not impossible considering some of the dangerous things koreans do. Nothing is funnier than seeing an old Korean man driving a Kina Bongo filled 10 feet w/ garbage above the cabin, cruising an 100 kph. Personally, I think the old man was drinking Sojo a little to hard, fell down some stairs, and along the way, the cell phone blew up.

However, have you seen their website, its not all that nice either. Long story short, Target and other businesses should be left alone to make their own online choices.
