Obviously, this model could be tweaked. Pay more for less adverts, kinda thing. This would let the player choose what level of advertising they're willing to [not] pay for.
The only reassuring factor is that one day, something else will come along for the mass media to blame. What that might be, I really have no idea. But it'll do to videogames what videogames did to rock music. Help shift the blame. *sigh* Maybe then, I'll be able to play Manhunt 2 on the Wii.

I was on 4chan at my girlfriends house... She came into her room completely naked, and asked me to join her in the bathroom. If any of you are going to turn that down to wade through over 9000 megabytes of furry porn then I hate to say that you have a SERIOUS problem.
What's seriously wrong with kids viewing porn? I'm currently 17, and often thing about how I'm likely to raise my future children. So what if they see sex? What's wrong with that? They're going to find out what it is eventually, and if they're luckier than me, they'll get lots of it. Educate them about it instead of driving them away.
My dad told me over the phone (While my parents were on holiday for the week) to use a condom. No problem, I thought. My girlfriend picked some up the other day. However, when talking to my mother, she told me I'm too young to be having sex. Ergh.
Heck, maybe if you give your kids some good porn sites to check out, they won't keep looking further and end up on 4chan.
Who cares which sells better? Outside of people who are actively in the industry, I don't see why it should matter to ANYONE how well a console is selling. Find a friend who owns one, play it a bit, and if you like it enough then buy one. Look at the games catalogue and see which one has the most games that appeal to you.
I don't see why it matters which sells how many. The best console is the one that is the most fun for YOU.
