    Tell me about it.

3 times in the past year I've been charged late fees from verizon, after paying my bill by check within 3 days of getting it. I've tried to set up automatic billing but it's impossible -> when I try I get put on eternal hold.

Last month I tried sending them enough to cover my balance and 2 months extra to avoid added charges.

watch, I'll probably get hit with an 'early payment charge'

McCoy was a bad example. Take the holographic doctor from Voyager. His role was to diagnose patients and reccommend treatment. If something went wrong with his instruments, Torres or Kim were brought in to fix it.

The doctor is there and is fully responsible for anything that goes wrong.

I think this is an extremely mission critical tool and the engineers should take the rap if it blue-screens. I mean what happens if a patient dies because a scalpel breaks in half and it turns out the scalpel company was cutting corners that month? is that the doctor's fault?

But if the guy gets sewed up with the robot still inside, thats another story..

Does that mean tv-out costs $71? no, because you can get a tv-out capable card for much less. the $71 is for the gf4.

and yes I know you can find controller adapters, but it will likely cost more than the tv-out. that was the point.

Bah, I got a decent geforce2 w/tv-out card for my pc on ebay a year ago for $50. the hard part is cramming a gc controller into your game port.

btw, there's nothing illegal about emulating games that you already own, and nothing morally wrtong with using a gba emulator to demo games that you're considering buying. I bought 3 gba games because I liked the way they played on my emulator, but naturally it's not the same when your pixels are 2"x2"

There is no flash plugin for half of my computers at home (NT4 alpha anyone?), and I just plain won't install it on the other half. Not a single one of the computers in my lab at work can run it either. Not my choice, it's the braindead "web designer"'s fault. Use a standard if you want people to see what you do.

Well, Flash 5 has 95% market penetration. Anybody with an interest in seeing rich content on the web can do so, and the fact that you can't really only shows that you don't fit into the web designer's target audience anyway. I don't understand why people gripe so much about flash, if you don't like it you're free to avoid sites that use it.
