    Well, if you want any documentation for JBoss (and trust me, the documentation for each version is needed because they keep changing the way configuration files work), you have to buy it. Apache will provide a STABLE way for configuration files to be used and there will be a set of HOW-TO's created.

    Personally, I'm looking at Cold Fusion.

    The only thing that I have found that word does easier is manipulate tables, but I am still learning OOo so I probably just haven't stumbled upon it yet. I'm still trying to get used to new menu structures so I'm sure I'll get it soon.

    Now, OOo's Calc is MUCH better than Excel. Why would Excel choose to put hidden columns and rows in the HTML output?

    I just assumed it was a result of the /. spell check and read it as buffoons. Or, it could be this definition from http://www.dictionary.com

    A district and administrative region of eastern Nunavut, Canada, including Baffin Island, the Queen Elizabeth and Parry islands, and Melville Peninsula.

    However, since they are in Japan, this seems unlikely. But, this is /. so not totally out of the realm of believability.

    I teach programming and put my grades online. To do this, I need to hide the student's name. I had been posting the grades in an Excel generated html page but found that the hidden columns were still in the HTML!!!! What the hell is up with that? So, OpenOffice.org to the rescue. The Calc program not only converted everything from Office, but the HTML is CLEAN and NO hidden data slips into it. I'm sold on Calc, now if we can just get those guys to go over and work on Writer!
