  2. Ah, you're one of those people who take a simple problem and over-complicate it because you don't know what you're doing. Then you go on about how complicated your messed up solution is. I know a lot of IT guys and developers who do similar. Standards exist for a reason, and if people actually read up on things and did proper planning instead of just trying to do it their own blindly screwed up way then they wouldn't end up with a big mess.

There is no post about GDPR, but Slashdot now has popups regarding the privacy policy. When I click "I do not accept" nothing happens. Shouldn't that button redirect me away from the site or something. So far I've only given GDRP authorisation to my local library.

So much so that they are moving their data centres so that they wont have to abide by GDPR legislation. This alone is good enough reason for anyone to be suspicious of Facebook. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/tech... I certainly wont be allowing any company that doesn't comply with GDPR to hold my personal dfata.

Don't try telling us that ads don't influence people. There is a multi billion dollar ad industry for a reason. It exists because ads DO influence people. Otherwise there would be no point in investing all that money.
