That ISPs only permit users to send mail through their own servers (presumably by blocking port 25 outbound)
My ISP doesn't block 25 outgoing but a few spam blacklists have my IP range on their "DSL/Cable/Dialup" listings so I send mail from my internal server through the ISP.
The result? No more "You're on a dynamic IP" bounce messages.
It shouldn't be long before we can expect have a set of replacement
parts ready when our own wear out.

OpenBSD 3.7 Released

You can't get them (officially). If it's that much trouble to do that once for an OS that is truly a joy to work with then you're priorities are screwed up.
Buy the official CDs and support the project, roll up your sleeves and make your own or use another OS. It's a free world.
Apple's approach is built into the filesystem, MS' is glued on top. They were in a rush to get out a desktop search engine and an OS retrofit would have taken a far longer.
when most of these people have never actually made a serious effort to find out (for themselves) if there really is a God.
Are you serious? Billions of people over the millenia have tried pondered the existence of gods. Not a single one has presented a shred of verifiable evidence.
The are pushing this not because they want to reconcile the *theory* of evolution as the creation of life with the bible but rather because the level of complexity required rules out evolution.
Bullshit.
The cultists see the writing on the wall: religion is crumbling. They're doing a classic "embrace and extend" on science. No more, no less.
Since when is considering all points of view unscientific?
It isn't. However when there is not a single shred of evidence to support the views they are discarded. Flat earth theory, earth as center of the universe, rain gods, etc. Science has been chipping away at superstition since Galileo.
Present your evidence but don't whine that it's not fair if you can't muster any up. Science isn't fair.
That's not how it works. You don't prove a negative, you present evidence for a positive. You say there's a god or gods making all this cool stuff, present your case.
I'm used to it. Rather than trying to present a case the kooks just mod down any rational thought of atheism or disbelief. I won't post that as an AC and my "friends/foes" list mail is usually quite interesting after such a post.
why it matters to them if their kids understand what the rest of the world is thinking?
It's quite simple: if the children are exposed to what the rest of the world is thinking then common sense may help them negate the dogma their parents drilled into them.
Teaching religion is disgusting child abuse. It's selfish and hobbles a young mind. There's no reason kids should live in fear that they're being watched 24*7.
That entire school board should be fired. They're putting superstition
before education. Mind you, when you have a well documented quote from
George Bush saying "I think that, for example, on the issue of evolution,
the verdict is still out on how God created the earth." I guess it sets the
playing field for the kooks in Kansas to create a generation of drooling WalMart greeters...

I wanted an all in one dish-washer/dinner-maker so bad, I married one!
Well... you're not the guy that married my ex-wife.
money put up by email senders that recipients collect only if they consider the message a waste of time
I get that already, it's called "my salary".
Like marijuana, stealing music is merely a gateway to something worse.
Please tell me you were trolling when you wrote that.

Man, you're an idiot. NDA generally applies to contractors, not employees.
I've signed several NDAs as an employee which are still binding. No more or less as I've signed as a contractor/consultant.
Fuckholes
In Canada we call them "cunts".
I can imagine lots of applications for this new battery including my own laptop
That a calculated risk: will you end up sterile and impotent or the proud wielder of a 14 inch hammer...
Square-Enix president Wada
That sounds like a character George Lucas would make up.
I bet you'll see a google map (or satellite photo if that area is covered) with an overlay of where your friends are. It wouldn't be that hard.
(hey, Google could get into the cell business and triangulate you from its towers. Now that IS getting evil.)
We talked to a lot of different angel investors and venture capitalists, but no one really 'got' what we were doing - that is until we met Google."
I think what he's really saying is "We begged but no one offered us any money... until we met Google."
Pac-man is well settled in life.. in times of xbox
I play Pac-man under MameX quite often.

You assert then that religious people are stupid?
Self deluded would be more accurate but stupid works for many.

In the meantime, here's The God FAQ
Oh, Here's one for the christian mythologists heh heh.

Thanks for my first Friday laugh!
Good sized city (~680K) isolated in the middle of the prairies. Hot, mosquito filled summers. Frigid winters. Urmmm... wait.. why am I staying?
