    Is my boss being reasonable?

    No. When you were hired you probably had the two-week clause which was applicable to you quitting or them firing. If your boss wanted to can you, he wouldn't give you 6 weeks notice and offer to send you reduced amounts of money for 3 months after.

    Be firm and polite, don't burn that bridge.

    Rather than adding yet more traffic to the net I think it'd be far better if more places ran OpenBSD's spamd package. It tarpit's mail connections from spammer machines thus consuming the remote machine's resources rather than generating more traffic in a misguided game of "fight fire with fire".

    Go for it! We had two come into work to replace a couple of aging iMacs. They're small, quite powerful and have that Apple aura that makes manly geeks cry.

    Quite a lot of the space on a non-video/audio CD is dedicated to error correction. I forget the exact number (its in the redbook specs IIRC). Data CDs will hold ~700 MB where video CD will hold 800 as correction is done in software.

    NB. the above is from memory and may be wrong. Feel free to slap me if so.

    Not on the xbox. Also note that the article doesn't address the people wanting to run Linux and homebrew software on their xbox. Of course that would slant the stats to a position not in the best interest of Macrovision.

    I can walk into an office at work and spot a 60Hz monitor flickering instantly. Usually I'll ask if the person's eyes get tired, etc. and fix it for them. More often than not they report the eye irritations are reduced.
