If dentist shots are the same as normal shots, I can attest that if the shot giver tries to push too hard and give the shot too fast, it hurts like HELL. Until I changed from my old dentist to my new one, I just figured shots in the gum were the MOST intense pain I'd ever feel... even if short-lived (30 seconds felt like an hour, but you know). Turns out, next dentist asked if it hurt, I said yes, he slowed down... holy crap no pain?!?!?!?! At least now I can take a hot poker to the eye and barely flinch. Hell with my old dentist, I started taking fillings with no shot because it was less painful.
But with the BB 10, somehow it sounds like they can protect the personal data, too, even from IT personnel like myself and my colleagues. This I am happy about... I don't want to delete someone's only copy of their family photos right after they got canned. I mean seriously that is just wrong. Luckily my company is not that evil, so I have never had to do such. Yet. The BB 10 protects you, if you buy it at least.
I think one of the videos linked at the bottom of the article said Feb 1st, 5th, and 10th depending on where you where. And read the posts on this forum... supposedly ex-RIM employees are saying Feb 1 or 5th. But that may only be for a Canadian carrier and T-Mobile(?!).
It looks like the BB 10 specs are the same or better than the iPhone 5 at least. It only comes with 16GB storage, but upgradable with a card. Faster processors on BB 10 and a few more pixels on the screen (if you get the big one) and better resolution.
Says that iPhone 5 is dual core 1.29 GHz, while the BB 10 is dual core 1.5 GHz.
My biggest thing is the CAMERA! Not the specs so much, but the software. You take one picture, it gives you a couple of seconds to scroll through and pick the best picture during that time... so no more blinks and yawns in my damn pictures. THANK YOU!
You don't have to use BES with BB 10 devices. They support ActiveSync 100% out of the box from what I've read on a few sites. So that it will behave fairly identically to iPhones and Androids in that respect.
Pretty neat that you can now use BB10 devices with ActiveSync if you don't have a new BB 10 server. Or if you don't need tight security and want to save a few bucks. I might run mine this way.
We see lions as having to be fairly fast (not as fast as most of their prey though). But was T. Rex an ambush predator like a croc? Or was it smart enough to have some pack hunting abilities? Was it such a tough cookie that it just went in head first and snatched up juveniles? Or were there so many species that didn't care for their young (I've been seeing a lot about how sauropods didn't care for their young) that the smaller, juicier prey animals were available? And finally, we never though lions attacked elephants until that one night vision video came out a few years ago. Surely dinosaurs can't be put cleaning and neatly into categories, even though it is fun trying... would you not agree?
Along the lines of how many haven't been discovered, how many fossils in general will be slowly unearthed naturally (or we will have new ways of finding) in the next 20 years? 100 years? 1000 years? 10,000 years? My understanding is that we find fossils of dinosaurs in places that have been buried and now unburied and often the original animals were near water which makes fossil creation easier. Are there likely any places, say under the ocean, that if we found a way to excavate we could find 1000 new dinosaur species or something spectacular?
Here here. One feature is unbeatable on other phones... and that is hotkey dialing on the BB. OMFG I love it. I have 15 or so hotkeys, and I merely hold them down and boom, I'm dialing my contacts that I call every day. It's so less annoying than any other smartphone.
A PC is better for watching videos and playing games than an iPhone or BB. An iPhone is better than a BB at surfing the web for 30 seconds while taking a dump (although one of my sites has much much better sized text with a BB after you double tap twice or whatever that trick is). But for calling common contacts on a smartphone, Nothing and I mean Nothing is better than a BB. And nothing can type faster and as accurately in my experience, so creating emails and txt messages are not annoying as crap. Even with txt recognition turned off, my iPhone just annoys me too much when I try to type fast on it.
Seriously, I just bought a new Infiniti vehicle, and calling someone on that interface (which is the best car interface I ran into in my car shopping) is not nearly as good as HOLDING DOWN ONE HOTKEY on my BB!!! And trying to get to a contact on my iPhone just pisses me off like no tomorrow... seriously, how many menus and clicks? And the voice commands for calling ppl on the iPhone is just a joke to me. Half the time it starts playing my podcasts instead of calling someone, and it has almost never called the right person if it does actually call someone. If I had to call using my iPhone I'd get in a wreck in my car every day.
So yeah, a BB will continue to be my main phone... and if it has some cool apps great, some decent surfing great. My main beef is it better be FAST and the camera better be fast. This new camera deal they are showing is great. Does the iPhone do that, because I need to start using that feature today if so. I'm betting it doesn't b/c my iPhone loving coworker hasn't answered my email about that option.:) Time to google.
The BES server is the server that I reboot anytime of the day because users just don't seem to notice it being down for 5 minutes. I mean hell, MS Outlook only checks for emails every couple of minutes anyway yeah?
And as far as devices that won't add themselves, 99% of the time I've found that to be a telephone carrier problem. Either tower network issues or somebody bought the wrong data plan. Usually the wrong data plan.
I've had 250 users on our one BES server in prime time BB usage, and while I never loved it... I never loved hearing my support guys giving guesses at Android mail setup instructions since the Androids out there all seem to have slightly different setup options. At least BB and more often than not iPhones are fairly consistent.
So do you mean he should think like a down and out lower class person desperate for money to survive or a rich bastard that can use money to buy people?

My skimming skills are getting better the older I get. I want the answer, then if it's interesting I'll go for the details.
I'm going to be sure to find the microphone and break it on any TV that has this crap in the future. Even if it means I can't facetime on my TV to my neighbor across the street. Yeah.
I had a ton of friends from Malaysia 20 years ago. They came to college over here, and many things were different from their home country. The first 3 weeks they ate nothing but fast food, thinking it was the best deal ever. After those 3 weeks, they couldn't stand looking at the stuff. And for the remainder of the 4 years in college, I don't think I saw them eat fast food once.
I love your response and especially the "vile inhuman mandibles" bit. Really, they enjoy painting a pro gamer as some crack addicted monster somehow tainted and morphed by all that devilish LCD radiation.
Do you have any idea what a driver is? Just because something has a USB plug on it doesn't mean it runs on anything with a USB interface. Hello? Can I plug my USB printer into my car stero and print songs? WTF are you talking about.
Just ask if you can buy them a new hard drive so you can take your old one. Your "work" stuff should be saved somewhere convenient off of the computer. Then you want to see the old hard drive taken out and put into your hands. Pay the $70 for the replacement hard drive... now you are guaranteed to not give them access to your crap on that hard drive.
Of course if you don't trust anybody, you can't do anything on computers or the internet anyway. Sneaky people could have been getting all that data via packet sniffing or using admin credentials to access your local pc hard drive via the network every day for those last 10 years. And the evil guys that work at your ISP or at the websites could have stolen all of that stuff, too.
If devs could have just stuck to making programs and leaving webpages static safe places to browse for information, the world would be a better place. We wouldn't have rampant malware on 99% of home user boxes. People wouldn't be throwing away good hardware and buying even cheaper PCs because they don't know how to clean off malware. PC manufacturers would actually still attempt to make hardware that lasts for longer than a year. Browsers wouldn't need constant updates to stay secure. Java wouldn't need constant updates. China wouldn't own 90% of the fortune 500's servers, Russia wouldn't be backdooring the pentagon,Etc. Etc. Etc.
HTML 5 will surely make all of this even worse, with yet more technology holes to deal with. The web could be so nice... but it'll never be anything but a cesspool of malware trash.
The thing they call Timeshift picture taking. It's the best camera invention ever IMO.

Yep, I was about to post the same. As long as you have Exchange 2007 or above it would seem.

Weird, I don't see the processor specs on that page, but I checked them at another site a week or two ago.

Sorry this is spamming this article, but wtf is up with Slashdot? I thought they were above being biased. No Blackberry 10 live article, really??

I despise companies looking at all of my information. It's nice to know that RIM is apparently not so evil. Maybe it's because their Canadian. ;)
Sorry, this is just the best news I've read in ages. Fucking AWESOME!!!

This sort of evil empire attitude makes me really not want to buy Sony stuff.

I like text much better... too inconvenient to watch video 99% of the time.
