My biggest worry is the ability to kill off a species of animal so easily, from the sounds of it. Where will it stop? Hey, this is a nuisance, that is a nuisance, kill 'em all. Next thing you know, we have pigs, cows, chickens, and humans left.
To your post, yep. And mosquitoes pollinate plants... of which we eat. The honey business only talks about bees as pollinators, but a lot of flying bugs are.
And I just read somewhere some bat species eat thousands of mosquitoes a night. Certainly other small animals like birds, lizards, toads, and frogs eat them. I'd love to get rid of malaria, but killing a whole species on purpose seems very risky.
Thank you for the tip. Sounds cool. And while I was reading up on some things, I ran into this insane music map site. If you zoom in on it, you can find a million different subgenres of music. When I like, because if nothing else I can youtube search them and find some new stuff!
I loved Pandora for about 2 months way back when, then got sick of stale content.
SirusXM I've had for 5 years. Loved it for 2 years, now completely burn out on it. I find about 1 new song every few days that I like, which is not nearly enough. I hear a lot of the same stuff over and over and over, sick of it.
So I'm about to cancel it. The question is, should I pay for Google Play or Amazon Unlimited? Or something else? I don't love most current pop music, but I like various types of rock, dance, electro, ambient, and that sort of stuff.
Just stop obeying the laws of physics, then latency will be perfect. Right? Wrong. Just like monitors and big TVs with latency, good enough isn't good enough when it comes to competitive gaming.
I quit street fighter because it turned into a monthly fee on my Playstation. I will quit other games that turn into a monthly fee. Recurring fees are just too annoying.
I'm sick of games trying to get kids hooked. I personally disallow many games, but you literally can't get away from the loot box nonsense if you want to play virtually any game outside of Nintendo games these days.
Now that you can add any app to Siri's list, how can I best use Siri in the car? My problem is now I have to wait for the 4 second delay of siri kicking in and using my car's mic/speakers, and the resulting clunkiness. Which makes me almost never use it because it is clunky. Only for safety reasons, I'd love to use Siri all the time!!!
How do all Uber drivers not get there and say "Hey, for 3/4 of the price, cash, I'll get you to where you need to be. Screw the man."? Is it because credit cards and all of their convenience plus their 2% tax on mankind makes this sort of deal hard? Or are the drivers tracked so hard by Uber that they'd get caught?
Off topic I'm sure, but it's interesting when your employer basically says you have to stay and work through the hurricane. Mandatory evac? Well, Bob, that doesn't apply to us because we have business going on and sometimes because of the hurricane. No, sorry if you think you're in danger... because you know, your job would be in danger if you just up and left for days at a time during this event.
As soon as the population was tricked into needing males and females both working full-time, Amercian life went to shit. Now both parents are required to work if you have kids in a normal household, and there is little to no time to cook right. Good luck! Some things people can try is to limit TV/movies/online time at home to half and hour a night and only after all the important stuff is taken care of. Also, buy a smaller home than your friends so you can pay it off sooner.
I think I'd prefer the long touch after having and using 3D touch for 11 months.
The thing I like about 3D touch, tapping my phone when it is lying flat so I can see the time/or if I have a message.
The thing I HAAATTTEEE about 3D touch, is using safari, it is infinitely hard to open links in tabs. If you press ever so slightly too hard it registers as 3D touch and opens the link in a semi view or just totally opens the link. I live by opening links in tabs in any browser.
Companies that screw up like this should have BIG penalties. I thought I read about some laws starting to happen in some places that will kick their asses, is that right?
Junk ratings are a huge pain... I deal with them when buying from Amazon with a very trained eye to weed through the trash. They need to at least allow some sort of search criteria for ratings to help people sort through junk ratings.
This is their way of paying everybody less, make no mistake about it. When computer programming has turned into vocational bootcamps, you can bet they are looking for any way to make labor cheaper so they can be trillionaires one day instead of billionaires.
Hey man, why allow your grunt workers to afford homes when you don't own a small continent yet?!?!?!

To hell with cell towers being someone's main internet. NO WAY NO HOW!!!!!!!!!

So sick of the Cloud marketing jargon nonsense... do we have to use it on a tech website, too?

As a person from the south, I sure am happy we have California to get something like this done. Thank you Cali!!!

I save these posts for evildoers that are dumb enough to piss off their customers.
Hey Microsoft, go FUCK YOURSELF with this shit!!! I paid for your OS, now get the fuck out of the way.

It says "Sony stopped manufacturing the device in 2012, roughly six years after the PlayStation 4 was released. "
The Playstation 4 was released around 2013 December, if I can trust a quick google. They probably meant Playstation 3 in that sentence.
Because I thought they did, but I can't find any quotes from their movies to... uh... quote.

Bridges are ugly already... sad that somebody would risk killing people to make something ugly slightly less ugly.
Google needs to allow people to opt out of more stuff. Period.
What the hell?!?!
Being a greedy bully is a dangerous thing when your image is your way to make more money.
