    My last GF and I had an agreement it went something like this:
    Her clothes == My computer stuff
    Her shoes == My tools

    It worked quite well until she decided she needed the child add on... I still think it is much too expensive.

    Someone mod this guy up. +50 Insightful.
    I have owned a few cars that could be considered cool. I have owned 2 bikes that would be considered classics by many people. Have the cars or the bikes ever gotten me laid? Hell no!!!

    That said, the OP also mentions getting some nice clothes. That does help.
    So basic transportation, it is hard to date on public transport, and some nice clothes. Or at least clean clothes that fit properly.

    Lastly, would you really want to be with a person who is into you because of something you own? Be it a car, a super bike, $700 computer case, comic book collection, or the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota?

    Damn, I thought I invented this idea.
    Previous job, any time I saw an unlocked company computer, I would open email and write an "I quit" email to the boss. Then leave it on the screen and lock the computer. Just in case it somehow got sent, I ended every email with "I really should lock my computer when I walk away."

    For the record I am aware that BOB ran on top of Windows, which ran on top of DOS, but then WinME runs on top of DOS it is just that DOS is more hidden in WinME.

    For the record I have used Linux as my desktop, and it was fantastic.

    I never thought I would buy a low powered, limited usefulness netbook. But with prices having fallen under $300, this makes these devices quite appealing as a second/third computer, or just as a plaything.
    I ordered mine on Saturday.

    To anyone reading this with WTF thoughts. I have known several TG women, and one TG man. If you can work around your own prejudices and accept that a TG woman is a woman, and a TG man is a man. You may be lucky enough to get to know some incredible people. I know I did.
