The biggest problem with bullying today is this attitude that children need to be insulated from it rather than stand up against it. What ever happened to 'sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me'? If we're going to blame anyone I blame this girl's parents for raising her to be so emotionally weak that she would rather die than stand up for herself.
You are exactly right! Like many of us here, I was bullied relentlessly for most of my school life. Teachers were useless, and my parrents "Just stay away from those bad boys.", was just as useless. The bullying stopped when I got pissed off enough and sent one of my bullies to the hospital, in front of the entire school, after an assembly. (A good choice as it turned out.) Fortunately for me, when it was just words I got the 'sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me' speech, and I listened.
I had this moron of a vice principal who believed it takes two to fight, and would send both people out on "garbage duty" together, unsupervised. I am sure you can guess what happened as soon as we were out of sight. So I admit I have some strong feelings about this topic.
Back on topic. If the parents had produced a strong resilient child, she would still be alive.
To any parents reading this, your job is to teach you child the skills to survive, not to protect them from everything. Because one day you won't be around to protect them.
I am surprised they didn't leave it running. In their place I would have left it running, and just taken down one of the top 5 dealers a month. They could have kept that up for months, collected evidence, and then when they were ready, bust everyone all on one day.
How is that what I said? The point is that what you do in the online world can and probably will have repercussions in the real world.
The next time you apply for a job (Ignoring McJobs.) someone will very likely type your name into google. If you have beliefs that run counter to theirs, you likely won't be getting a call for an interview.
I am sure many people here will say something like "I wouldn't work at such a place." But I don't live in my mothers basement. I have a mortgage to pay, and I enjoy eating at least a couple of times a day.
1. Don't say anything you wouldn't say to your boss and your mother.
2. Don't post anything you wouldn't want your boss, and mother to read.
3. Don't take, or allow to be taken pictures you wouldn't show to your boss and mother.
4. Nothing is ever anonymous!
I buy a lot of stuff online, and always look for postal delivery. Every few months I will get a package that has been opened by Canada Customs. Since my purchases are all legal, it is not a big deal, and they even tape the container closed with "Inspected by Canada Customs" tape.
So it is possible.
Drug dealers are the freedom fighters in the war on drugs. If you belive in individual freedom and personal choice, drug dealers are on your side.
No, and No. Drug dealers are business people. They are mostly interested in making money, and in many cases, feeding their own drug habit.
While I agree a lot of drugs should be legalized and taxed. It is mostly just because it is stupid to keep fighting a war that simply can not be won. If we as a people were to legalize pot, the money saved, and the tax money brought in could seriously revitalize the economy. But the last thing the drug dealers want is their product legalized. As long as it is illegal, it is expensive.
Just off the top of my head, why not just restrict drones to specific altitudes. For example, (All numbers mad up on the spot.) drones are restricted to 300Ft. and piloted aircraft are not allowed to fly at that altitude. Obviously they would still be allowed to pass through, but it would greatly reduce the possibility of a mid-air collision.
Simple effective, and cheep. It will never happen.
I was thinking "Epic fail 2, and Epic fail 2 pro".
It is the price. They are still trying to sell at Apple prices, but MS is not, and has never been Apple. If they had released a tablet at around $300 they might have had a shot. There is a bit of a price gap at around $300.

If it was either one, I say they got off too easy.
Oh, a wiseguy, eh?
I am not joking... And don't call me Shirley.
Either A pretty good start, or Not enough sand.

This was done in Canada, and it worked just like you described. I always wondered why the US didn't do it the same way.
Thank you, I will.

Yep, I am. But I will never have to explain the pictures of me, the goat, the 12 goldfish and Cher to anyone.
I would say it worked out pretty well for her, since no one had any idea who she was before that stupid sex tape got "leaked".
And back in the day, just about everyone had one of those. Even my parents. Of course I am pretty sure they were freaks. :)

I live by them, and so should you.
Vulture capitalists don't count.

If you read his notes at the end he explains that he broke the process so that you couldn't build a working bomb from his description.
Only if it is pink. :)
You just described my retirement plan.
Except you forgot 28 year old Thai hookers.
DOD's entire IT department retired today.
:)
Each to their own private island.
I see a black screen with green text. Only a black screen with green text. :)
It would be much better than the Doom movie.

If I recall correctly, the iPad 1 is not included in their list of systemds they are willing to take.

So the headline makes reference to a loss of 4500 RIM jobs, and that is a tragedy.
