Most people still do, in fact it's probably more sought after because it's so distinguishable from the knock off NES controllers and you can use it for hours without making your thumbs bleed.
I'd probably argue that in the history of Video gaming the Advantage and Max were the most well built and best designed controllers ever.
I'm sorry, but this country's push for everyone to be management is bullshit and is why we are where we are economically. We don't need more queen bees, we need more workers. Management is already overpaid, over inflated and the end result is too many people making a lot of money needlessly for doing very little.
The ability to work in a project managed atmosphere is great which I assume is the potential goal here, but if the system in place doesn't lend itself to bringing in outside help quickly and easily without training, you are doing it wrong. Not everyone is going to know every management style and focusing on that instead of the skills to get the job done is a waste of effort.
I only ever made it through 2 of those books in my youth because that's all I could afford, but I loved the RPG aspect of the book over CYOA books (a favorite of mine when I was even younger).
Personally I can't stand the nearly seizure inducing flash every time you change the page on a Nook or Kindle.
Page flow with an LCD device like the iPad is smooth. It also doesn't require an external light source that will bug my wife while reading at night in bed.
Blame the users, don't blame the service. I use Facebook with a nice level of privacy I'm comfortable with, I don't incessantly update my status, I don't constantly check my account.
Like all things computer related, it would be great if it weren't for the freaking users f'ing it up.
And yet I'm supposed to believe there's a massive production cost on digital downloads particularly when it comes to selling a 5MB ePub or 5MB song (that I am not allowed to download again if I lose the song).
I originally did not agree with Valve's tactics but the reality is they're becoming benevolent and good with their business. I just wish the versions of games they sold did not have the same anti privacy measures built into the games as the hard copy versions.
Larry was basically the last kid picked. He's an arrogant prick that isn't happy that his name isn't as well known as Steve Jobs or Bill Gates so now he has to slather his company name all over everything.
Did you not see him in Iron Man? Yeah it wasn't a coincidence he was in it.
As far as I'm concerned, the rest of the world needs to get off the Oracle DB dependence and the buyout of Sun was BS as it eliminates one of their few competitors in the open source market.
I have an iPad. I am not among the elite. I live well within my means and I am by far not sophisticated. I'm a techno-junky in that I love technology and I love what the iPad represents and what I can and will potentially be able to do with it. I've done a lot of janky things with mine already and I consider it money well spent (though I should have saved the $100 and gotten the 16GB one instead of the 32GB).
And no, I'm not the most "altruistic" person out there, I value what I have and what I've done to get where I am. Not all of us have disposable incomes to be donating half (or more) of our income to charity. This is trollish behavior by someone that probably couldn't justify to his wife the purchase of an iPad. So he's gotta try to make me feel guilty for having mine.
Because as an iPad/iPhone user I recognize that the apps I have generally get replaced by other Apps and I hate that I can't get rid of them. But I recognize that with the apps that are installed, they are quality apps. They are tight applications that do what they are supposed to and nothing more and they don't look like a 4th grader wrote the interface for them. I also recognize that Apple is removing these apps and getting out of the way of the user. I suspect in a near future version of the OS we will at least see the ability to hide, if not delete, those apps that we don't need because we've replaced (such as buying a more powerful calculator than the one installed).
Although what irks me about the system in Alien Swarm is that there is no way to combine clips in "downtime" safe areas. And you toss the clip completely. What if I wanted a fresh clip, but wanted to come back to the half used clip.
Also the statement "now free on Steam" is appropriate because before the release date you could not get it from Steam at all and it is currently free right now.
Have you gone back and watched the first matrix movie? It's really not much better than the other 2 movies. That said, I don't see why people pan the other two so bad.
If anything, people miss that in the first movie, Neo realizes he's destined for greatness. The second movie ends on a such a terrible down note and neo realizes he's not destined for any kind of greatness, he's just doomed to a system. And in the final movie we have the crescendo
If you pan the Matrix series... you really can't call yourself a fan of the original Star Wars trilogy, the acting in either trilogy isn't any better than one another and the story follows equivocally the same theme if not the SAME STORY (even down to the three fronted assault at the end). The only difference is in this trilogy Luke dies.
People were blinded when they heard Android was open. What they didn't realize is IT'S NO MORE OPEN THAN i(Phone)OS and never was and is that way because the carriers SUCK.
"Given Apple's 'f u' corporate service focus and poor enterprise support,"
Not sure what you're talking about but the crappy Enterprise Exchange support on the blackberries make me laugh at my colleagues who allowed their phones to be "upgraded".
I stayed on a 4 year old xv6700 with WinMo 6 to avoid the "upgrade" to Blackberry because I at least get to keep my task lists and a calendar and email I can navigate quickly and at least resembles Outlook to some degree. They always complain about how crappy the email client on their Curves are.
And my personal iPhone is an AWESOME client for an Exchange account minus task management support (which is the only thing it doesn't do for me).
Pity she's now missing out on Hulu for the iPad. If that was her only reason, I feel bad that she's stuck with a "full sized" device that probably requires it to be plugged into the wall because flash just ate all the battery while watching her favorite show on hulu.
If you build it, they will write software for it, and in this case demand for Hulu on the iPad necessitated a push for it there.
"Thank you for informing me of legitimate Flash uses. Those and Hulu, that someone else mentioned, are uses of Flash."
The use of "Good" is subjective. I happen to think it's a waste in Hulu Why do we not have flv support as a plain codec? Why is it still only usable in flash based players?
And you can't tell me those sites couldn't code their sites to work with Ajax or retool them for HTML5 (you know, an actual defined standard).
Since when? Last time I tried to get a report from them they wanted me to sign up for a subscription based service.
I'd like to know where the evidence showing the ACTUAL signal strength represented on the phone means anything by comparison to another phone. Remember, all those pretty little bars we're getting in a fuss over only represent a signal strength representative of relative maximum strength of the device.

should have been maligned...
And no I'm not saying it's bad, I agree that's how it should be, but the stupid users clamor for things they don't understand.
You mean like the much aligned method used in iOS.
The end result is users and developers complaining they are walled in.
Blame the users, don't blame the service. I use Facebook with a nice level of privacy I'm comfortable with, I don't incessantly update my status, I don't constantly check my account.

Is it wrong that I enjoyed the fact that a posting on redundancy is redundant?
should have been "anti-piracy" ...
And now I find out they're giving out 2 copies. That just amazes me and glad to see Valve making up for such a big folly.
4GB, originally $50 (now $30 I think) game.

I like porch monkey, I'm taking it back.
Sorry, buy you're wrong and all of the college campuses across the world would beg to differ with you.

More bars, more bullshit.
I can't recommend Consumer Reports so there you go, nothing of value lost here.
