You can obtain party affiliation, registration status, and information on if you've voted or not at the county level. Your vote is still secret. But if you registered as a Democrat and have voted fairly consistently in the past few election cycles, it's not a big leap to assume who you've voted for in the past.

You can try it yourself. Call your local county government and ask what it costs to get voter data. Some counties make it available online for a fee, others will snail mail you a CD. Campaigns either go county-by-county to get this information, or go to a data acquisition company to obtain it. Bonus points if you keep that data updated frequently, as you can ignore folks who have already voted

A name and physical address is more than enough information to get a phone number, by bumping that against other databases. Of course, you have to pay to do so, but marketers have been doing it for a long time.

For lagers, as opposed to ales, you generally need slightly lower temperatures than your ordinary household ambient temperature. It's difficult these days to find a friendly, local cave with the proper temperature.

The common home brewer solution to this problem, absent a sufficiently cool basement, is to use a chest freezer with an aftermarket temperature controller. The temp controller is plugged into the wall, the chest freezer plugs into that, and a probe goes inside. It's a reasonably cheap solution for home lagering or keg dispensing.

It's certainly a different gig and level of stress (for example) bumping around in a truck in the forest as an environmental technician for 35 hours a week, as opposed to staring at monitors for 50 hours a week. A better-matched work environment might make the difference, enough that you can get close to FT hours but not feel the same amount of stress.

Depending on what country you live in, there might even be educational assistance to retrain in a different career
