    Ahhh, what a great way to circumvent region coding. Perhaps the physical DVD could be on the ground, the decoding could be done in orbit. Obviously costly, just to prove a point, but hey.

    Exactly what I was thinking, there are times when you need to go faster than the speed limit. Wouldn't it make more sense, to use the system to see if the car was speeding, but not limit it, and later report the speeding to the police, and they could determine wether or not it was justified. Only people with good alibis would work, you couldn't say you needed to get to a hospital, as the GPS system would keep records. A little bit big brother-esque though.

    Ever since I used a palm pilot, and learned grafiti I wanted to use in on a PC. When I got my wacom tablet, I assumed that there was software out there that would allow me to do this, but to my dismay such software doesn't exist. *hint* *hint* someone out there wanna make it? *wink* *wink*

    Most of all, I'd like to be free to go outside without fearing for my life for 5 months of the year. I don't define quality of living by habitating in a place where you can die simply from going outside without a jacket on.

    That's your biggest point? Get real, I live in Canada and I don't like the cold too much myself. You want warm temperatrues all year round? move to Vancouver, and freak out when it gets to -10. Me, I've had -40 weather, and you don't see me trying to leave the country for someplace warmer.

    Many 3d modellers have the option to send the project to network or batch renders, which are basically the beefy machines that do the number crunching so you can continue to work on your project. I've never had the chance to try it, but 3D Studio Max and Maya both support it, no doubt many other 3d programs do as well. This developed from a need, if you made your desire well known i'm sure software designers could design something to meet it.

    Don't give anything a brain, that you wouldn't want your enemy to have.

    Sure, a plane that can fight, and blow the hell out of things seems cool, as long as it doesn't see you as a threat.

    Another scary thing is, hellish doomsday type weapons, like the Beserkers in uhmm.. I forgot the name of the author, but they were robotic machines designed for one purpose, the destruction of all life... in the end they butchered they're creators as well, but they didn't much care..

    Schools are being given 10 million, to upgrade and connect to the 'supernet'. Apparently this will help spread the resources around the provinces. Me, i'm just happy that my school decided to replace the 486's that were the mainstay of the computers at my school. Also, another tidbit, Bell won the contract to do this, rather than Telus, which was formely AGT (Alberta Government Telephone). Mind you, Telus moved its main offices out of Alberta and into B.C. Interesting, no?

    It's not a horrible policy. If you instal Linux, and it for some reason decides to wreak havoc on the rest of the network, or its poorly setup and a bunch of script kiddies use it to DoS Amazon or something, you'd see why it makes sense to have it cleared through the IT department first. He's not saying you could never use Linux, just that if you installed it without authorization, you'd be canned.

    Quimby's reckless disregard for the Canadians, and the fact that he wants to come up and steal our lunch money is a horrible idea. We Canadian's won't sit idly and let you American thugs steal our poutine money. We have a formidable offense, including Bryan Adams and Celine Dion. We do not like to think that we would have to unleash such a terrible force, but if forced to, we will use such drastic measures.

    Oh, yeah, and I don't your Mecha Striesand can stand up to such an aural offense.
