That's not even well-defined for humans, and you want to apply it to another species?) is no way to approach this argument. If "closeness" to us if what you're after, it'd be more logical to first expand outward toward our actual closest relatives, gorillas and chimpanzees.

Air gap will hopefully stop secrets from getting out (unless... is this thing smart enough to wait for another USB stick, copy its stolen data on to it, and wait to be plugged in to a networked PC to communicate out? That'd be snazzy!) but it won't stop a USB stick. And, since USB is how code and software updates are usually delivered to these devices (not to mention the mouse and keyboard for the PC hook up), you can't just turn USB off either. Hence this.

That reaction is not as trivial to the body as you make it out to be; nor is that 10% imbalance. Eating lots of sugar is bad, yes; but eating lots high-fructose sugar is worse, *measurably* worse, in several biologically-significant ways. Additionally, preliminary research suggest that some of the trace byproducts of the "fructinization" process (methylated something or others) could also have quite a disproportionately-negative effect compared to their small concentration.
