If anything it'll probably just increase the cost of the drives, I'm sure you'll be able to find them readily available somewhere, though at a higher cost. HDD prices are already increasing due to the increasing scarcity of some rare earth magnets.
You did not answer my question, how much due diligence should be expected?
It's a large corporation, its not like he can just call of the research team who was working on it. These corporations limit access to their internal people so he would have to go through the normal support channels.
If you drop your wallet and the only contact information in there is for your dry cleaners, then you have no standing to be mad when I am unable to return it to you.
He contacted Apple several times and they disavowed all knowledge of it. Even if he contacted the wrong people there, how much due diligence should one expect?
Like that electric toy robot they found in some street, I forget the details but the police were called because some kid left his toy robot in the street and they got the bomb squad out there to detonate it.
His crime was not having enough money to "donate" to the right people to get off.
But seriously I agree with you, worst case I could see is being fined for the money he earned as a result of the sale. As I recall the phone was disguised to looks like a 3GS so he did not even know at first that it was a prototype.
You should leave it alone, same as if you find someone's wallet on a park bench.
I heard in Japan this actually happened; that someone left his wallet full of money on a bench and came back the following day to collect it, and found it had been left undisturbed despite lots of people frequenting the park.
While only tangentially related it seems many in Law Enforcement are not too keen on the idea of chemistry in general.
All too often they will arrest someone who has a DIY home lab setup, for running a meth lab, despite not having the necessary supplies to make meth. All you need as far as LE goes is a few beakers and a Bunsen burner and you're making meth.
Agreed, maybe make it automated, when the teacher is entering the grades in "the system", the system will then automatically award the points based on the scores.
That sounds like a great plan, so long as it's consistent.
I've seen reward plans like this where the administrators were fickle with handling out points, you could do really good one day, and shitty the next and you'll get rewarded on the shitty day because the administrator was in a good mood. In that case it doesn't do much to help motivate since its no longer a result of MY action, but my superior's disposition.
Same for me, I know it's a different part of the company, but as a whole I am none too fond of Sony.
Their BS isn't just limited to the PS3 either, I bought a copy of Casino Royale, and it wouldn't play in my BR player, turns out Sony added bad sectors to the DVD and these will cause some players to hang and not play the movie. And they are doing the whole paranoid of piracy thing with their BR players too. When I was looking I found a Sony and LG with almost the exact same features, but the LG was more expensive. I went with the LG over the Sony since upon checking the file formats supported, the Sony would only support a select couple of formats which were themselves DRM encoded types, while the LG would support almost everything under the sun.
Except we the people have already paid for those network upgrades, with the tax breaks and incentives since the Clinton administration. The cable companies agreed to provide what 30mbps? to the US by this time but have failed, yet are still expecting their payday.
At the end of the day faster internet serves the betterment of the country as a whole, we have a lot of IT situated here, what if all the Microsoft's and Google's, decided to leave because the internet was so poor here? If private enterprise cannot get something like that to be profitable, maybe we should turn it into a public venture.
Yea, its not like Blizzard is going to totally rework WoW before the release of SW and beat them to it. They are just worried people will find out it's shit and not buy it, just like how its become more common for negative reviews to be held till after release, while positive ones get to be published before.
Personally I would buy preowend PC games if I could, but it seems so many now and days are being linked to some form of account with the developer when bought new, thus if you try to resell it, the key wont work since it'll still be linked to my account.
As I recall from the initial price increase, their entire revenue before the increase was like 2.3 Billion, and their licensing fees were expected to increase from ~$300 Million to 2.0 Billion.
Agreed, it does seem like college is becoming the new High School when it comes to the job market.
A drop out, GED and HS Diploma holder will have pretty similar prospects for jobs in the real world.
Teachers and their unions are staunchly opposed to allowing online courses to be accredited, such as through Amazon.
There was a story here not to long ago talking about exactly that.
So is there no "Facilitating Defamation"?

Also what about the brain?
I read that the brain is finite, and that old age at present can stretch those resources, living longer would only make it worse.
Same here I know it also extends to civilians, but I have never heard the government say they are exempt.
Must be different one, I remember they had pics of it being in the street which had been cordoned off.

Yea, one IP does not mean one server.
I work in a DC and we regularly deploy server clusters with virtual IPs. Customers can setup a LBer and any number of servers they want behind it.

How would they decide whose doing better?
The practice tests they give all but show you the answers.
And that funding is based on who is enrolled, not who shows up for class each day.

But doesn't RIM's Playbook use it's own OS?
I heard one of the issues they had was attracting developers to it to create content.
This new tablet will use Android so it should already have a bunch of content for people to use.
