There is a specification for transfering stereo audio over Bluetooth. I have a Bluewave from Macally, which is a set of Bluetooth headphones with a Bluetooth transmitter for an iPod. With a headphone extension cable the transmitter could be used with anything with a headphone jack. There are several problems with the Bluewave. One is that both the transmitter and the headphones each uses two AAA batteries which isn't enough power, as the set only lasts about four hours, but that is not the fault of the Bluetooth spec. At any rate, the worst thing that happened to me was that the connection was lost and all I heard was loud static. Turning the headset and transmitter off and then back on fixed it though. On the other hand, the headset of the Bluewave has a 1/8" jack so it could be used wirelessly with a cassette adaptor in a car, but why?

A derecho is a long lived fast moving windstorm associated with a thunderstorm. Derechos for the most part are not exceptionally dangerous as like a tornado or hurricane, but a serious event can blow down power lines and trees. In 1998 after a derecho I remember visiting a house in a neighborhood that at one point probably had many large trees. One could determine this as there were many tall stumps that reached ten feet into the air with no branches or leaves.

The other end of the spectrum is Chrome, a lesser known FPS. In Chrome, dead bodies would have all of the weapons, ammo, and health packs that one would expect to find on them. This can get really wierd as the only way to get the best rifle or the rocket launcher is off of dead bodies. The only problem is that getting more ammo for these weapons must be done by killing other enemies that have these weapons.

Granted there are other problems with Chrome and other games like it. For instance, imagine you are guarding a room and someone trying to get into the room, opens the door and throws a grenade in. One of the guys in the room sees the grenade and yells "grenade." Do you, like the AI in Chrome would and stand still and wait for the grenade to go off and seriously injure you? Or do you run like hell away from the grenade, like any sane person would?

The rider itself may have even been written by the NRA. Last month the Minnesota Appeals Court ruled the rider unconstitutional. The courts have declared riders unconstitutional many times before for other riders. At any rate, new concealed carry bills have been introduced in the House and Senate, but the bills seems to have a tough time ahead of them. Windows ME isn't as bad when you have installed all of the updates from Windows Update. In fact, there are some nice features in ME that 98SE does not have, like System Restore. However, without the updates Windows ME is very unstable. When it has been updated, Windows ME, I think is as good as Windows 98SE. I have had Windows XP fail to activate several times. When XP fails to activate it shows a screen that asks for a new licence key. There is an option to call by phone for reactivation. Just call Microsoft from the number they give. This next part will be a huge pain. You will have to recite, by voice, a 40 digit number to an automated system. After that you may be sent to a real person to recite the number again, potentially. Next, they will ask if this is the only computer that that the copy of XP you are trying to activate is installed on. Then you get another 40 digit number to type in. Assuming all goes well after this number has been entered then XP will be activated again. This procedure is not so fun, but generally I find that I only have to reactivate each copy of XP once. Then, Microsoft gets the idea and future activations with that licence key is automatic.

The most maddening thing about this is that the picture looks fine on the 26" Samsung HDTV looks fine. This is despite the fact that Samsung uses the same brandname, DynaFlat, for the tube in their CRT computer monitors, the picture on them looks much worse than the picture on their HDTV monitors.
