You really think that the headphone jack is the culprit in Apple's market loss? It's been 3 times they changed the freakin docking connector on their phone and other iShit. Those who did not understand when they went from 30pin to lightning connector will maybe understand this time, when they once again have to change all the audio / charging docks on which they paid the Apple premium (especially now that Apple has a trick to exclude non-Apple-royalty-paying builders).
You think Apple is switching to USB-C to open to the rest of the World? Think again. They will certainly lock you once again in their fenced garden of Apple-approved stuff.
However, will Apple filter the devices connected to the port based on some encrypted ID, to make sure the phone will not recognize devices that are NOT made by an Apple-royalty-paying manufacturer? Which will invalidate the point to have a USB-C connector, other than for charging. And even there, they could filter out chargers that are not Apple endorsed, and send the power provided to/dev/null.
I left Apple when they switched over from the 30-pin connector. Read this: I. Will. Never. Buy. Apple. Again.
Yes, it may be shrinking a little, but the sampling period is extremely short, compared to our planet's age. This can or cannot be caused by humans. But hey, anyway humans won't survive Earth, which is scheduled to disappear anyway in the next 5 billion years... Unless we disseminate elsewhere in our universe, we're doomed.

Damn. There must be something wrong with my code...
I had an LG G2 a couple years ago. After 6 months owning it, the touchcreen controller or sensor stopped working. I had Rogers (My Canadian provider) replace the defective screen. After another 6 months, it did the exact same thing, but the phone was out of warranty. Both Rogers and LG refused to repair the phone. This was, and forever will be, the last LG phone I owned.
Now I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and am perfectly happy with it.
... says the World Wildlife Fund, financed by Bayer / Monsanto, Unilever, and other large companies who sit at a round table to greenwash their projects of destroying Indonesian forests and indigenous people to grow palm trees for palm oil production.
Read this... and tell me this organization really cares about wildlife.
Mmmmm... so you say we should stop all scientific advances until we solve all the other, more basic problems? We should concentrate the whole planet on working only to eliminate poverty?
Or maybe some of the advances we make at the top of Maslow's pyramid will someday serve the ones struggling for the bottom of it... I mean, like 3D printing. Right now, it's still a novelty, in use for a very small fraction humans. Someday, maybe it's going to be the cheapest way to have a hamburger, and our African friends will be able to have one everyday. Not that it won't cause other problems though, it it will solve one.
Love the approach of having a geek, socially dysfunctional girl kick the butt of the CIA or other high profile criminals / businesses with so much ease, and being so resourceful. Even though everything is not always totally realistic, I like the storyline. And I'm still looking for a way to transfer a few million from an oversea crook to my own account that I opened under a false ID too...
Nooooooo! Please not free! I want to make sure that they ask for my credit card and that I don't provide it, this way I will not be upgraded against my will!

Depends what they do with it. If they sell ads to sell you a less expensive TV, maybe a lot of people could jump in. If they sell me a 60" LCD 3DTV for 199$, I could accept the ads.
But the retrofit to older models is a plain annoyance that should not happen.
The true original story is from the Journal de Montréal (translation), which is somewhat credible, but like to go for the sensationalism over the facts. Not a tabloid, but a popular / populist paper.
I would say, before asking this question, let them fail a couple times... The first mechanical hearts had the patients survive only for a few hours. And the heart's connections are "pretty simple", compared to the head connections. We cannot even have patients recover from spinal cord injuries right now gawddammit! Let alone a head transplant, with the spinal cord "fusion" they're talking about, with all the vascular system, the respiratory / digestive parts, musculo-skeletal links...
I'll believe when I see the meatbag alive. And with a complete video of the procedure, to make sure it's not a conspiracy or something.
In fact, it's a good thing that they have good repairability, since you have to do it so often.
I take the greatest care with my cellphones. Never dropped it on the ground, never splashed it, always put in a good grade case. Still my old LG G4 had a broken touchscreen after 6 months for no reason. Replaced it Under warranty, then after another 8 months, it was broken for no apparent reason again. Always same symptom. Touch actions get flaky, then stop working at all.
As my Korean colleague pointed it to me, LG is the cheap brand. Samsung is the good one. Just as Kia sells crap and Hyundai good cars. Now totally happy with my S6 Edge.
And they will call it "The vintage trend". Maybe Apple will even start making turntables in 2019 and market them as the new trend in the audio market.

Can't they just discard the "Eh?" at the end of each question?
Looking at how FrontPage generated simple HTML markup language behind the WISIWYG interface, programmers have nothing to fear for their job...
I always find this funny that so many studies say "The Arctic is warming and there should be no more ice cap by 2050". I remember some US scientists said there would be no ice in the Arctic by 2013, and look at this graph. The arctic ice cap is currently a little over 13 million square km.

Also have a look at this, rethink your answer.
As the world goes forward in scientific advances, poverty recedes.
Got another distro that's way more in depth. it's called KGBDSM.
No, the gulag IS Windows 10.
I am only aware of this one... gc6j3-gtq62-fp876-94fbr-d3dx8
Is there another one?
(Seriously, it's an Office 2000 licence number, I typed it so often, I still remember it...)
Slashvertisement. Period.
The problem here is that the Linux version is 150$ more expensive. So basically, you pay more to have a free OS. Sound logical.

To answer your questions:
- no
- yes
period.

"Bricked" is a very relative term.
For a non-tech and non-mechanic user, this update bricks his infotainment system.
At the garage, it is not bricked, they probably have a procedure for a full reset of the system.

How can he win a HUMAN rights case, this guy is not human, he deserves to be treated as such.
Excuse my English. I meant "stop working". It did not break apart, the touch screen would simply not accept any user input.
In fact, it's a good thing that they have good repairability, since you have to do it so often.

Lesson: Stay away from LG.
