Really, I'd like to know who was in charge of the system, that way I can never hire the guy.
or at least I'd like to know WHY nobody acted on it, maybe he had no budget to do anything?
Probably the are underfunded and have already too many bigger problems they don't have time to investigate.
Especially for the billion plus people around the world who live more than a few hours walk or drive from the nearest doctor
This is brilliant logic, because all of the peole I know who live more then a few hours from the nearest doctor are all about 3.5 hours from decent 3G coverage (more if they have AT&T).
People are retarded, what's next we plan on giving kids who are primarily worried about starving or being shot at by the rival drug gang in Africa a laptop?
Of course, this way we only need a couple of laptops with the disclaimer "upon death the laptop returns to the previous owner".
See? These cultural blinders we don't even know we're wearing. Only in America and related countries is it "traditional" for teenagers to be risk-takers. Decades of MTV have taken effect. I live inside another culture and here, teens are assumed to have other traits, none of which is a fondness for irresponsible behavior. In fact, the very idea of "teenager" doesn't really exist.
"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for
authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place
of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their
households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They
contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties
at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.
Plato
Since the dawn of humans, kids were always reckless.
When I was a young driver the only way I could drive was flat out, no compromises, just pure speed. Now 20 years later I'm calm and polite. I still enjoy a random race on the track, but on the road I have full respect for other drivers.
And you can see the exact same patter in online racing. Most of the youngster drive like they play a single player game.
Every time ubuntu updates firefox, it slams it's own list of search engines into my browser, and I have to yet again remove them. Why would a system update muck with personal settings like that?
He didn't break into a random house, but in one that is supposed to be impenetrable with high security budget and while doing so he was just searching UFOs.
Considering he didn't do any harm and what he is searching does not exist, I don't see the point in putting him behind bars, especially if it was his first offense. I mean, is he really a problem so we need to waste time?
Actually the day when we will discuss if we give AI human rights will come. There will be some inevitable fights and opposing ideas. But like we aborted slavery we will liberate the AI.
Once the dust will settle we will look back to the days when the AI was not allowed to play games.
Oj, and register free.tibet.something for the SSH proxy too. :)
This is why I encourage the use of Google Chrome in our company . It has this neat feature to use IE settings.
¨P.S: I'm a Firefox fanboy.
Am I aware of this and I use the Firefox plugin to do the job, but some of the video embedded in Java(?), can't be downloaded.
Hance you have to watch them in the size they setup.
It might "just work" for you, but for me it is unreasonably slow and doesn't allow custom resizing.
When I use VLC I can re-size the way I want and it uses a fraction of CPU compered to Adobe Flash player.

Work illegally and apply for social support.
Of course I'm generalizing. Just because I say kid a reckless doesn't imply every is. For crying out loud, do you really need to Troll?

"Ever load up a completely random webpage to see an advertisement at the top for products related to what you're reading about?"
No. Thanks Adblock!
What are this ads you talk about?

Who gives a shit about users anyway?

Is you cat allowed to play WoW?
If the cat has this right, why not the AI?

You are so 20th century. :)
:)
Free the AI!!
For US maybe.
In EU we have 20/20 optical ine for 30E/month.
It ain't.
Sure they say so, but who gives a shit about what they want.
If I want my AI to play the game, it will play it. Don't be a racist. This is the same as saying niggers can't play WoW.
If you like a game it does not imply you like every aspect of it. With a bot you skip the parts you don't enjoy (anymore).
I say, if you paid for it, do what you want. (moral exception applies).
There isn't a way to ban Glider. the fact is, the program is using the same input a human does. This is why they are taking legal action.
Having an AI to play the game for you is not any more unfair then being jobless and playing 20 hours a day.
They just need to open a realm on Mars.
It might be an empty world tho. I hope they won't ban bots or Rover will be pissed.
Curiosity kills the cat.
P.S: Do we have to remind people that this shit work only on M$ platform?
Buy vines and store them, the price for properly stored one will only increase.
Nah, the whole economy will be turned to the AI. Eventually there won't be any need for humans and the whole economy will be fully automated.
If I get a pace maker and someone is able to root it - how will I know?
You will randomly reboot.
