    I bought my first Sound Blaster for Ultima Underworld II, the experience was so good I was scared to play at first. :)

    Of course I enjoyed good sound during my Amiga 500 experience, but the PC era was quiet for a moment.

    Give me DX 11 to my XP and fuck Windows 7. I don't need any fancy feature.

    I installed XP in the 2001 and I still run the very same version, sure it gave me a couple of problems when I have upgraded my motherboard, especially switching from Intel to AMD and back, but I always managed to get it work.

    I have every little app the way I want it, and until I need 6GB of ram I don't need to leave 32-bit. Sure it doesn't recognize all the 4GB of RAM I have, but Windows Vista / 7 will eat all the difference anyway.

    P.S: I'm using all versions of Windows and Linux at work, but at home XP does all I need.

    As long as there will be people unwilling to pay there will be piracy. You can combat them, but you will just get less piracy and no financial gain.

    If people don't want to spend money, they won't. If it is free they might want to check it out.

    Because right now the gearboxes are rubbish, they haven't evolved much in the last decades.

    There is no reason we have to wait stuck in traffic because you feel you are losing your freedom to drive like a jackass. :)

    I'm happy sharing 100GB per day.

    I don't know about US, but in mine in to get the person name associated with the IP you need a judge order. And you won't get one unless you are charged with a criminal activity.

    Sharing files for non profit reason is not a criminal activity, hence you will never get the name of the person using bitttorrent.

    They will become the next layer, where we use our applications / games.

    Hopefully the current OS-es will become irrelevant and we will fight over who is better: Firefox, Chrome or IE.

    Firefox will be for geeks, who likes to customize their stuff.
    Chrome will be the fastest and secure out of the box.
    IE / Safari the one with the most aggressive marketing.

    USB and CD's are so 20th century. :)

    I have my own FTP, SSH and torrent WEB GUI accessible to all my friends. You can torrent from every place on earth, firewalls can't stop you, the only limitation is your bandwidth.

    This is why I put the emphasis on "dramatic".

    As for space travel, the fact is, it is not economically viable with the current technology.

    We need to be smart and use our resources in the most useful way.

    I have a different concept of future, a more virtual one, where we expand at the speed of light in every direction.

    That is really all that they are, or at least should be. They are not content providers, they are merely facilitators.

    Maybe their concern is that it'll become obvious to everyone that they're dumb pipes, and that they're dumb pipes whose business model, pricing infrastructure can't cope with piping all that well.

    No, their business model if fine, they make a lot of money, they just, you know, want more money.

    It's the same story why PC games costs less then Console games. In order to compete with high piracy they need to lower the price.

    The message is pretty clear to me. Don't like the price? Pirate more.
