"investigated by both halves of Congress for its role in the Russian propaganda campaign during the US presidential election"
Considering there still exists not a shred of proof of Russian propaganda or influence over the US election, I find this line to be very misleading.
"make it look chaotic, make it look manipulable, make it look subject to intrusion, cheating and vulnerable so you can't trust it"
In other words, make it look exactly like it is.
It's the pop-up ads that is doing this, not the pirate bay main site. When you click on a link, it brings a pop-up, and that's what is triggering the phishing report.
Anyone who seriously entertains the notion that the US/UK or for that matter any country hosting governments interested in information control is not employing paid trolls, shills, misinfo and disinfo agents in an attempt to control the narrative and beliefs of their populace (or at least muddy the waters beyond comprehension) is to this writer's mind either lost in cognitive dissonance, or worse, willfully ignorant.
Interestingly, at the same time this relentless fear-porn negative coverage about e-cigs is being bandied about (among other things like "vape juice is worse than cigarettes!"), millions of people are saving their own lives by switching to electronic cigarettes. The big tobacco companies do not like this one bit. Nor do governments who see billions of dollars every year in cigarette tax, nor does big Pharma, who generate massive sums off the "management" of cancer victims and others. This is why we only see a negative narrative with regards to the phenomenon. One has only to examine the sources of the many studies for and against E-cigs to see that the negative ones - while not completely irrelevant - are largely funded by big tobacco in collusion with governments.
Even more interesting, companies like Philip Morris are developing their own proprietary vape technology even as they spend obscene amounts of money trying to convince us E-cigs are evil. It works by vaporizing actual tobacco in a traditional cigarette form factor, ensuring a transition to smokeless cigarettes while still maintaining the high prices and exclusive government approval for public sale.
As always, follow the money - not the hype.
If I ran the DOJ, I would fire off a massive witch hunt to convict everyone in charge at the NSA with treason. Hang the lot of them, they have done more to damage US internal and external interests than Snowden could ever manage.
A cunning plan sir, with just one minor fault: As soon as any of the NSA bigwigs heard of your plan, your mangled dead body would be discovered shortly thereafter, blamed on "suicide" or an "unfortunate accident", well before your first witch hunters could even get their shoes on.
Homeland Security wants you to remove this from your system because something in it is messing with the NSA's ability to easily peer into said system? Just a thought.
Good point:) However I was speaking of such fanciful ideas as warp or wormhole technology, thought engines we have envisioned, that may well exist in some form or another in a galaxy far, far away.. It appears to me that this one-way deal would be the only possibility for contact with intelligent alien life, as we lack these completely theoretical transport capabilities, and most likely will destroy ourselves long before the realization of such ideas.
Which saddens me a little, as I was hoping to meet a nice Vulcan equivalent hottie one day.
If there is life out there, surely some of it has progressed to levels of technological innovation far beyond our wildest imaginings. Even if we cannot reach them in any meaningful timespan, perhaps they can reach us. I remember a story once about a ship on a five year mission to seek out new life and civilizations.. Would not any advanced society with the technological capability do the same? Great story. They really should have made a tv show or a movie about it.
They quite literally murder thousands of innocent people every year with drone strikes and military action. I believe it is willfully ignorant to think that the US government has ANY qualms whatsoever about killing as many people as they see fit to suit their purposes, including Americans.
If Snowden returned to the US he would have a very public trial where his guilt would be assessed. He cannot be disappeared. He would have an opportunity to go before a jury and make his case..
Yeah, like Bradley Manning had a very public trial..
Snowden can most certainly be disappeared. He is charged under the espionage act, which would allow his trial to be conducted in complete secrecy. Perhaps you should do some research before coming up with such wild allegations.
To really maximize the deterrent effect, you could have iris recognition mounted at the muzzle. Simply somehow enable the gun to fire itself, and if a non- authorized eye is detected, BOOM headshot!
So they want " 'SuperApps', ones that keep you coming back for more because they add something to your life.."
What we need here is an application that is hooked up directly to a sufferer of chronic gastro-enteritis. Through a collection of discreetly placed microphones, the sounds of his poisoned flatuses (mixed artfully with his timely groans and grunts) would be streamed live to Blackberries worldwide.
It's gold, I tells ya.

"Members of the Army Cyber Institute at West Point discuss.."
Oh, that's just great. Let us all watch as the beast lovingly examines it's own belly.
CSI: Cyber is simply a particularly egregious slice of NSA damage-control propaganda.

Just like my married friends!

Anyone here up to write the code for that baby?
I think that's a bit silly. How can you tell he was writing "breathlessly"? spin that top!
More Google employees dying of mysterious causes than microbiologists. More at 11.
Perhaps dangerous to the optics in other fish it encounters..
Blind cod?
Sightless snapper?
Images of one-eyed marine life bumping together awkwardly.
You'd think Sting was used to being recorded by now.

Smoked Suns Pot all day. Didn't feel a thing.
I think I just went from "facetious" to "frightened"! Classic.
...were they doing a poll on windows 7?
Rush: Ok caller, you're on the air..
Caller: [puts phone next to stereo and blasts rush with "Eleanor Rigby"]
Rush: RAWWRRRRRRGH! [crash][bang][stab]
