Sunburn. This weapon has a top speed of Mach 3,[1][2] and is considered one of the most lethal anti-ship missiles in the world.[3] The high speed of the missile means a typical response time for the target of only 25 to 30 seconds, giving a target little time to react. Moskit can be armed with a warhead of 320 kg.

A Sunburn can destroy a carrier. See also, Mosqit and Silkworm.
Hypersonic missile threat
'Carrier killers' could destroy U.S. Navy's supremacy at sea'
"...there is presently no reliable defence against the much faster next generation of anti-ship missiles. These weapons are designed to travel at hypersonic speeds -- greater than Mach 5, or 6,100 km/h -- and therefore present a much more lethal threat."

"Cosmetic damage", fuck off.
How did this comment get rated as "insightful"? Is the "insight" that the hegemon, who spends more on weapons than the rest of the world combined, can destroy a small country?
Or is the "insight" that Americans think they can keep spending money they don't have forever?
What are you going to do if China says, "Fuck you"? Sorry, "When" China says "fuck you".
Sorry, but those days are over. The President can order you, or any American, or anyone at all, killed. There will be no trial, there will be no charges, the process, from beginning to end, is secret.
If your government can kill you, they can do anything. And if that is the case, and it is, what hope do you have that the laws they draft will be "clear and fair"?
The America you seem to think you live in, no longer exists, if it ever did.
The workprint one?
The San Diego sneak preview? (Shown only once)
Or the U.S. theatrical version?
Perhaps "the international" uncut one?
Maybe the U.S. broadcast version (no nipples!)
How about the "Director's Cut"?
I know, I know, Ridley Scott's Final Cut AKA the "25th Anniversary Edition"
So many choices, so little time (Harrison ain't getting any younger)
What? Just because this case may (almost certainly) will go to the Supreme Court of Canada means exactly nothing. The Supreme court will not, and does not, simply uphold lower court rulings as a matter of course. That's just speculative nonsense.
Aside from looking at too bright light it's virtually impossible to damage your eyes just by looking at something. This goes for reading a book in dim light or watching a tv in the dark. None of these activities damage/hurt the eyes. Strain them, make them tired, yes. Damage no.
Your mother was wrong.
It may not be his "place", but it is his right to question. If Visa was refusing to process transactions from Jews, or blacks, you might be able to get past your love of the free markets and see the wrong here. Think about what you just said, essentially you are saying that the people cannot question corporations. They only power they have is where they spend their money? Really? I don't think so. Corporations are people in your world and people get told what to do all the time.
I know, and I am in awe of people like you. I was making an obscure reference to an old Star Trek episode, "The City on the Edge of Forever" written by Harlan Ellison, the highest rated original series episode. Spock and Kirk had to go back in time to 1930's earth to rescue McCoy, who had accidentally injected himself with a substance that made him insane. Spock had to repair their tricorder, but wasn't doing well with the tubes etc available. I just checked and I got the quote slightly wrong, "I am endeavouring, ma'am, to construct a mnemonic memory circuit using stone knives and bearskins."
I thought you would appreciate that.

You make it sound like Iran is the aggressor here. Are you fucking drunk?

You like the thought of killing a million people don't you?
Yes, and China and Russia won't mind at all. Dream on war boy.
Two Sunburn hyper-sonic ship killer missiles, right into the reactor. I wonder how that steel and aluminum structure will hold up?
Yeah right, it was just Britain, all on their own. Kermit Roosevelt was just there on vacation or something. Stop watching FOX.
Because there is not much oil in Alaska and don't worry, the pipeline will be built. War is about resources, always has been.

Sarcasm isn't funny if it's based on ignorance. Oh well.

Now that would be a blast!

Because then it would not be icool.
Why did you think that Slashdot is an appropriate place to admit that you killed your grandmother? Over a frigging cheese sandwich no less?
Glenn Greenwald writes cogently about issues relating to the corporate state. You might want to check him out if you haven't. thanks, Bill

Whatever happened to the good old days when we would construct mnemonic circuits out of "bear skins and stone axes"? Seems logical to me!
A laptop with a crank makes more sense. Cheaper. More reliable. Maybe add a bit of solar just to top things off on a sunny day.
You shouldn't but you do. $500 will get a laptop made this century.
Crimespeak. Like saying, "Shooting bin Laden in the face was murder."?
Well. This may go a long way in dealing with Zombie outbreaks.
Then getting to the moon just a weekend trip. Escape velocity on the moon is only 2.38 km/s.
