Being redneck and xenophobic has nothing to do with what language you speak. There are plenty of parts of Quebec and the rest of the world where people who don't speak a word of English fit both those descriptions perfectly.
Not at all. Eventually, someone is posting libel, defamatory material, whatever, which can still be handled in the normal way. All this means is that you can't prosecute anybody who links to that material. If it's the same people doing both, as you seem to imply, then there's no problem.
"Despite being human beings, someone please name one redeeming feature of afghani people?"
One would have to assume that the student in question isn't the only afghani willing to risk his freedom and his life to fight for women's rights or other important issues.
"Anybody who simply mods parent down in a reactionary way is obviously a) one of the Christians he's talking about, or b) not watching enough news lately."
c) a Christian who doesn't go in for oppression d) a Christian or non-Christian with some sense
I saw an interview in which people said some stupid stuff. Therefore, everybody who agrees with those people on any subject is a dumbass.
While the facts of your post is true, the conclusion is unreasonable. Sort of like if I said "You can accuse the GP of hypocrisy when your country is no longer hypocritical."
The actions of the HRCs have nothing to do with the GP's opinion, and you have no way of knowing whether (s)he condemns them with as much fervor as he does the topic under discussion. I, for one, agree that supporting a government that behaves this way is not ideal, even though I know about the HRCs in Canada. Governments and humans alike can think about and do more than one thing at once, so statements along the lines of "You can do X once you've finished Y" are non-sensical when they don't depend on each other.
And as corrupt as the HRCs are, I don't think they require anonymous posting (if I never post again, you'll know I was wrong).
I imagine that on military bases they have less issues with fraud of that nature, and also that people are generally more amenable to showing ID when asked, since anyone who needs to know can find out who you are, anyway.
" It was discovered using a device cooled to a temperature about 100 times colder than intergalactic space, following the application of the most powerful continuous magnetic field on Earth."
The United States and most every other country could use these for transportation on a large scale, yes, but I have no interest in a 500 kph train coming directly to my door or even coming down my street.
I want a laptop with Ubuntu on it. I want to be able to stick a CD or DVD in it and have it play legally. What kind of job should I get so that I can buy that?
That's my argument for going out naked. I try to explain to the cops that this way they can see I'm not carrying drugs. Thus far my success rate is roughly fail.
Price increases in most industries are caused by costs of production, supply and demand, or other economic forces. This is a case of "because we can" which, though it could conceivably be caused a market force, is much harder to swallow from the consumer side.
Also, given that music is by no means an essential consumer product and that there are plenty of people in fear for their financial future right now, raising the prices for no apparent reason probably won't be as harmless to the company as you seem to think it will.
That's funny. I grew up in Alberta singing the anthem in French every day in school. Try leaving Quebec sometime, you'll find that the language is in fact the only significant difference, and not that big a deal.

I would imagine it's much less painful and leaves less of a scar.
Unless they're trying to wrestle said leviathan anyway, but using under-powered machines to do it.
2. Because nobody has time for stupid religious propaganda, especially Card's particularly noxious brand.
That's because they have more important things to do, like bashing people on internet forums.
1. http://www.google.com.au/
2. 'Australia internet filter bypass'
3. 95% of the population can bypass the filter.
You need taller employees.
Two parents, one beer. I think the problem is obvious.

Indeed. Brown is the hippest shade of orange.

I thought the multicultural model was that I could get Shwarma, Souvlaki, Pizza and Chow Mein on the same block.

That's exactly what I want in my office.

Allowing the RIAA to exist was indeed an honest mistake.
Damn.

I certainly wonder why someone would hate me based on an anonymous internet post.
If they conceded that there was French in Canada outside Quebec, they'd have to stop complaining.
You don't respect the Spanish Quebeckers?
I'm Quebequito, myself.
(If Viva isn't spanish for live, I'm gonna look like an idiot.)

(I also live in Quebec, for the record)
