    Now If it was something like:

    We pay â2 a month

    They use our resources

    They sell our resources

    We get a % of those sales to cover our costs...

    If it's constantly needing a burn to keep in the correct orbit why don't they either:

    1) Move it further out, above the current orbital debris region (you might keep it for an emergency "safe haven" or supply station for manned missions to the Moon or Mars)

    2) Fit it with those experimental "Ion" engines they have been testing (They only have a few grams of push) but have 10 of them around the ISS constantly pushing will keep it in a stable orbit and the ION propellant is more compact and easier to store then the current propellant.

    simple solution...

    Use the lunar HE-3 strip mines as Waste storage...

    With all the junk and non-degradable stuff we throw out, why recycle. Just stuff it all on the moon. That should compensate for any lost mass due to mining....

    If you can cut it out (vibration damage to the area.)

    If you cant freeze it out.

    how about a strong suction device and a bottle of some strong acid. Pop the acid and try and suck the knob till it comes.. out...lol ^_^

    Or in reality.. just use the acid to burn some of the knob away and take it out. Make sure you've got some alkali handy to stop the reaction before it does an "Alien" on you and melt the whole way through the deck ...

    ermm you're missing the HUGE "elephant in the room".

    The UK and the USA backed and funded a CIA engineered coup dâ(TM)état which overthrew the elected government in the late 50's and stuck in a friendly "shah", who then turned around and made Iran the dictatorship we know and love today.(all because Iran, at the time, wanted to nationalise its Oil industry for the good of it's people and the US and UK didn't like that (since their huge oil companies would not be able to get at the Oil!)...

    ...Setting up a standard naming convention and make sure bosses and managers enforce it. It won't help older files but will stop it getting worse!

    Then if you can be bothered, you can start going through older files and updating the naming conventions or entering them into the Document management system of you choice...

    So

    Cut the loopholes and you won't need to increase Tax, you might be able to reduce the tax burden on companies...

    ...Think about it (well people in the UK anyway). We could all club together and take CBS, Last.FM and hopefully the RIAA to court over breaking of the: Data Protection Act of 1998.

    Take them through Criminal Courts rather than Civil courts...

    Linux's ship has sailed.

    Linux is a hobby systyem.

    Yup it is my hobby to work on Linux machine.

    Because my full time job is fixing WINDOWS machines, which seem to BSoD, throw up random errors or just fail to start, for any number of reasons usually because the latest "update" causes something to fail, or they plugged in a new device and the drivers get screwed up, or are non-existent or windows plainly refuses to acknowledge the existence of the device.

    I reinstall Ubuntu Linux once every 6 months on average (for each new version + patches) with windows it's once every 4 months (SAME version + SP's and patches).

    With Ubuntu I get a clean up to date OS every 6 months that i just restore my home partition and go.

    With Windows I'm reinstalling & restoring just to get to the point I was at 4 months previously!
