It depends how the average consumer looks at the product, with game consoles you go into the shop expecting the console to be in a certain price range as well as the games, if something seems too cheap you start to think "Whats wrong with this? Is it crap?
Sometimes when you use a product so much you get used to its quirks and forget that its broken. The first moment he uses IE he should be able to immediatly see problems that over developers have forgotten that are there.
The only way companies in the US would let soccer take off in the US if the rules were changed to allow timeouts every minute to fit a million commericals in.
I have a mobile phone which its primary purpurse is to communicate via phone and sms. I also have fm tuner and mp3 player built-in not because I was feature hungry but because it saves pocket space - I don't want to carry another media player such as an ipod around.
Although my phone also has a camera, I rarely use it except for when I see something interesting but other then that it is useless.
A lot of a rippers arent all that concerned with quality, just being first to be released. Even with TV shows they still do rush jobs and release rips with out of sync audio etc and therefore you have to wait for the repack.

But I would say most if not all features in MS office are there because someone, somewhere needs those features on a regular basis. You might not know of any of these people but there are probably people out there who would kiss Bill Gates personally for the inclusion of this feature that makes their task so much easier.

Who ever rolled out a beta product in a business environment deserves be publically flogged, shamed, tarred and feathered. And then they should lose their jobs and never be able to do anything more then service a commodore 64.

I want something I install and works. I don't want to install 10 different other bits of software and nor do I want to edit the kernel for my HDTV card. MythTV has a long way to go before it deserves a place on my Hard disk.
Cures for a lot of diseases probably already exist but there is no money in curering people, just treating their symptoms. You really think drug companies care about your health?

MythTV is just to much work to watch TV.

Both countries have old and due to be replaced space crafts. Difference is Russia's crafts have provened to be more realiable and cheaper.
