There is no 'study'. These 'results' are from a survey of primary school children conducted in one municipality by a school nurse. No scientists or researchers were involved. There is no empirical data at all. No experiments were conducted. More than likely the 'study' consists of anecdotal evidence such as; TV in room, check...fat child, check...TV caused fat child.
The Orion spacecraft is not the problem with the current NASA Constellation program. The Ares I launch vehicle is. It does not have the lifting capability, among other problems, to meet the goals of the program so they keep cutting back on the capability of the one thing that its supposed to lift to orbit, the Orion crew capsule.
Title should read "True green laser diode". 'Green' laser output has been achievable for for more than three decades with Argon ion, Krypton ion, and Copper vapor lasers. This just makes it more 'convenient' to achieve green output.
While we all love to 'bash' Microsoft and its tactics here, on occasion, please let' s not lose sight as to why they released this code. They did so because it contained both open and closed source components and were issuing them with both a closed and open source license. Those who aren't 'new around here' know that licensing them in this fashion is a violation of the GPLv2 terms. So basically they did this to avoid any 'repercussions' from the community -not that that would stop anyone anyway- and not out of a sense of 'contribution' to the FOSS movement. Ramji and the legal department at Microsoft probably had one of those 'Oh, SNAP!' moments and decided it was best to look like benefactors than the 'evil hive of scum and villainy' that most people perceive them as.
Someone mentioned it in the Tuesday posting comments that all they are looking for is campaign contributions. While I do despise the contract agreements that one has to enter into to use a cellphone; -pay-as-you-go plans not withstanding- whatever happened to month-to-month or usage-based billing? FCOL, that's how it was done nearly twenty years ago when I had my first cellphone. It worked then, why not now?

I'm not using more than 90% of it anyway. So maybe someone can make good use of the rest.
"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."
