    Interesting. What would it take to make /. the place you would prefer? It's an honest question. Is it only the editors? The moderation? I wonder if there's a big enough collective to "fork" slashdot. I suspect this has been tried before.


    There are some intelligent and thoughtful posters here, and occasionally the combination of good articles and those posts make this a top site.

    It's not flamebait!! Good grief. Skoda are successful despite their initial negative image, and it's supposed to draw an analogy with the grandparent's first question. The overall point is
    that any market is usually big enough for more than the two dominant players.

    I'd like to mod the "flamebait" modder as "troll".

    I'm hoping Dreamweaver is going to fix the problems we're having with Word documentation containing images that we generate .html files from, in order to compile into a .chm help file. Your post gives me hope!

    You are assuming that treatment for depression is like intoxication, where the recipient is oblivious to reality.

    You can be treated for depression and still feel bad about the bad things, and good about the good things.

    *Being* depressed however, is where everything seems bad, despite the knowledge that it's not. Nothing is worth bothering with. Emotional flatline.

    In my experience, it's always been "I want to edit photos, write letters etc, what lets me do that?"
