Activation protocol? Do you know the difference between the activation protocol of a game bought off steam versus buying the game box?

Steam, make sure you're logged in to validate.
Box copy, make sure you type in this stupid code.

I used to hate Steam, but for no good reason. It downloads, installs and updates the game for me. There's no more having to self manage patches. Granted this has been a liability with Railroad Tycoon 3, but this is due to one of the latest patches breaking the game with Vista. As others have said, you can get some games very cheap off steam. I bought Left4Dead and Unreal Tournament 3 at a significantly discounted price. I got World of Goo at 75% off. Steam has done wonders to increase the number of games I have bought due to price and convenience.

Ugh, retention bonuses are issued if an employee stays with the company for a certain period of time. This is to prevent them from moving to other companies. The reason why these 11 individuals don't work for AIG anymore is likely for the following reason.

Bonuses are paid in a schedule determined by contract. Why the total bonus may be $1,000,000, it could very well be paid over 4 years in 4 payments of $250,000 instead of 1 payment for $1,000,000. In fact the bonuses were contracted over multiple payment periods over lower amount to avoid taking too high of a hit on taxes. It's all in how the contract is worded. So while those employees no longer work with AIG, they had worked for as long as was necessary to earn the retention bonus before moving on.

Regardless the retention bonus has nothing to do with performance it's a gamble on an employee that you think is valuable to the company. To use a car analogy, you bought a 500 gallon tank to store gas in when the price was $2.50 and you have to go through that gas before purchasing anymore. You did this because you were anticipating the price of gas to go up. Instead the price of gas dropped to $1.50, so you're currently paying $1.00 more per gallon than everyone else.

Personally, to destroy human kind I would first find some sort of virus that is produced in a plant in fertile Africa. Preferably this virus would grant superhuman strength and ability to a few, but would be highly toxic and deadly to most people. I would then create a giant pharmaceutical corporation to both research the virus, in small cells so no on knew too much, and fund the research of the virus. Any incidental profit is a plus.

In order to test the virus I would have secret facilities around the US as well as facilities in Africa which are staff by poor Africans desperate for jobs. I would then have those facilities have a fake disaster which is actually a releasing of the virus to test it on the populace. After my secret American facility and the city which it lays underneath are destroyed by the US government in order to contain the infection, and my company eventually collapses. I would hire a striking attractive brunette to investigate a parasite that is capable of control humans. This parasite will conveniently pop up in Spain.

I would then conduct research on the parasite, strengthening it, using a facility in Africa that is based over where the original virus came from. I would then blend the virus and parasite to create a super bio-weapon which either consumes the host or allows the host superhuman abilities. The whole plan hinges on the fact that I inject myself with a parasite that allows me to control all the other infected by the engineered parasite. With this, I unleash the bio weapon on earth, destroying most of humanity while leaving the rest of the infect in a state where I can control them.

The high laugh, agreed and started the duel. The high level watched and did nothing as the low level beat on him for awhile barely harming him. The high level then left and went to get something to eat from Taco Bell. When he got back, his health was at 1% and before he could kill the lv1, the lv1 put the killing blow on the high level, winning all his equipment.

That's only as long as you have the proper cause and effect pair. Just because you have a rise a knife crime, and all knife crime perps play violent video games does not mean that they are related.

If the factor causing a rise in knife crimes is not video games, then perhaps the correlation that individuals that commit crimes are more likely to play violent videos is more true than people who play violent video games are more likely to commit violent crimes. The violent video game could very well serve as an outlet for the criminal when he cannot, for whatever reason, commit the crimes he wants to commit.
