  1. Re:It is the parents... on Candy Linked To Violence In Study · · Score: 1

He might be joking, but the study was conducted here in Britain, and the parents that i've met here are terrible. nursery as a way of getting rid of the child for a while, 'playfarms' so that the children can leave the parents alone to have a smoke, people pushing the pram and fucking swearing every second fucking word, going for a bath and leaving a 3 yr old to his own devices for the afternoon, I saw a child half out of a second floor window on my road, and I didn't see a parent pick him up and take him to safety, oh no, I heard a shout of "get the fuck away from there".

I've only been in england since january, too.

These are all just personal observations, btw, not flaming, but the people i've seen need to take the responsibility of having children more seriously.

your post just made me think a scary thought.
    to get these statistics, either:
    A) hotmail saves your passwords in cleartext at some point, OR
    B) people tell anyone who asks their passwords because it's a 'survey'.

I may be missing something obvious, but I don't think it should be possible to get these sorts of statistics about passwords.
Next thought, hopefully they send just an anonymous copy of the password to a random database in no way connected with the running of hotmail and in no way linking passwords to accounts, so maybe it is possible.

This may be covered in TFA or TFS but i'm tired and went straight to the comments looking for the funny.

I disagree and think the foreigners should accept British culture, not Vice Versa. Interestingly, I just asked my best friend(south african living/working in london) about the foreigners already here and he said this:

As a brit, I want most of the foreigners to fuck off. I have nothing against foreigners, but I want a points-based system like canada / australia have, so the foreigners have to add substantial value to the country. Or, if we have that(I'm not sure) I want it to be far stricter. and sweet jesus, I want the foreigners to get NO BENEFITS AT ALL. they must fuck off and beg from their own governments. Also, with unemployment this high, we shouldn't be taking in any more foreigners. also, I don't want to accomodate muslims/indians/any-other-society. they have their own countries that bend over backwards for them. if they want to live here, they obey our laws and live in our society. no honour killings in families or whatever nonsense. Finally, english. that's right. you want to live here, learn english. my sister went to an NHS hospital and the fucking doctor could barely speak a word. naturally, she demanded a different doctor.

Flamebait? Trolling? Racism? I think it is, so I'll not post this anon, and I'll live with whatever hammering my karma deserves.

No, I don't support the BNP, but this is why they're gaining voters. I don't care about 50% whites or less by 2012, my issue is that the foreigners we let in are the scum their own countries are glad to be without.

I worked. that's all. hell, if I was at fault, I'd stand up and say "yeah, that bug was me, I'm very sorry and I'll fix it" no matter how bad it was. and I did. regardless how late I stayed. then I moved country. same story, hired day after interview, work, don't bother covering my ass/complaining/bitching and just get to it. I was taken off probation a month and a half early and given a raise.

I read an interesting article, basically, you are being paid what you're worth, if you want more, prove you're worth more, don't expect them to pay you more and then you'll start doing more work. covering my ass? waste of time. if my boss wants to fire me, he can go ahead, I'll find another job where i'll contribute and be paid what I'm worth. if I don't feel my salary is what I'm worth, then I'll simply start sending my CVs out, see what other people would consider my skills worth.

so yeah, I agree, a much better alternative is to just do the work, and if you feel you aren't valued, send your CV around, see what others would consider your skills to be worth.
