OK here's my theory... just hear me out. Google is in the business of indexing the internet, right? That's a pretty hard job! Maybe Google is having some trouble keeping up; maybe they're looking for someone to "lighten the load" a little, as it were. That's where wikipedia comes in. The way I figure it, Google would like to see the wikipedia editors expand their domain of influence. Imagine if wikipedia editors had the power to delete knowledge not only from wikipedia, but from the web as a whole! If google gets wikipedia editors to delete all the non-notable content from the internet, Google's job get's a lot easier! Really makes you think...

Can you send me an example where Jesus accurately predicts known experimental results? Also, what experiments would you posit to prove or disprove Jesus? I eagerly await your reply.

Everything you said is true, but what is an average person supposed to do about malware riding on downloaded programs? People like you & I have, through years of internet use, developed a sixth sense for "good" vs "bad" on the internet, but you can't teach an average person how to identify a "bad" download. For them, it pretty much comes down to one of two options: (1)take everything, including the malware, or (2)never download anything, ever. I'm not sure the latter is a realistic option...

Implantable devices have to consume extremely tiny amounts of power to achieve long battery life, and transmitters tend to need a lot of power to work. I haven't done the math but I suspect the device would need regular battery replacement if it was restricted to relying on stored power. To be low maintenance like you suggest, I think it would need to be able to generate it's own power somehow. There are lots of "future tech" options for this power generation (from blood sugar, from the motion of the body, from the internal-to-external heat gradient), but none that actually exist right now.

While what you are saying is technically true, a significant percentage of GPS-equipped devices do have some kind of return path. When the average dude makes a statement about "GPS" he's not talking about the Global Positioning System , he's talking about the On*Star in his truck, or the location-awareness in his cellphone, or a TomTom, or something. Many of these devices do have return paths and associated real privacy concerns.

I'm not sure if you're trying to be funny or if you're just naive, but in real life capitalism doesn't work like Economics 101. In real life, making your customers happy is not always the most cost effective way of doing business.

Sometimes, destroying the competition and ensuring that your customers have nowhere else to go is more profitable. Sometimes, paying off legislators to write laws saying it's illegal for anyone to compete with you is more profitable. Sometimes setting up complex ponzi schemes that make you super-rich and send everyone else in the country back to the economic stone age is more profitable. (not only talking about Bernie Madoff here)

All that is why we need partial capitalism with strictly enforced government oversight and regulation.
