Might as well burn a couple books, as well. And while we're at it, we should round up teachers, doctors, artists, the intellectuals and re-educate them.
What they need is more powerful enemies. As soon as I learned the run-up-close-engage-vats-pump-burst-from-chinese-assualt-rifle-to-head-of-enemy trick, the game got _incredibly_ easy.
It is you. Where I live, Northern Alberta, Canada, this past winter had been bitterly cold, with a fair amount of snow on the ground until mid may, and this summer has been very cold and dreary.
You can trust that I was cursing David Suzuki and all other global warming opportunists while I was walking to work in -45 degrees.
Well, you're kinda missing the point. Just because you sign your name up as 'Little Johnny McGillicuddy' doesn't mean that they don't know its YOU operating the keyboard. You have contracted services with your real name, through your provider, and they can create a hash list of your name to your various online profiles, if you have any.
Its a bitch, I believe in freedom of information. I try before I buy. Yeah, I'll download a game, if its good, I buy it, if it doesn't install properly, or is buggy as heck, I uninstall it. I'm religious in this capacity. Dare I say, socialist.
I've been burned too many times in the past by sub-sub-sub-par online goods. But I'd be a fool if I said there wasn't any way for the "them" to track my internet usage, with ISP permission.
Praise Jebus, someone got it right. The Horton (Or Gotha) 229 technology isn't new by any stretch. The planet has known about the craft since end the war.
Easy, you crazy kids. Sometimes in Canada, we'll propose some totally nuts bill to ensure it gets struck down, and it serves as a precendence to prevent weaker, yet more wily intrusions in our security and privacy.
That being said, please do, write your politicians, let them know their thoughts.
Correction. Mediocre programmers are a dime a dozen. Any comp sci grad with a 6pack of coke can get through directX 9 tutorials and have a decent floating ball, swimming shark. Good/Great programmers are a rarity indeed, and good games ALWAYS have a good programmer behind them. No lag in input, decent framerate, no odd bugs. Yeah, they deserve their paycheque.
And the effort is appreciated, but my grandfather-in-law is in his latter stages of the disease, and he always wanders off without his shoes, different peoples' glasses, without a shirt. Its incredibly dangerous in the winter months here.
I'm afraid I believe this idea will not catch hold.
Even simpler solution: Buses have numbers. Teach your child to identify each bus by its number, and find the appropriate one; it is doubtful that the bus number would change, and they usually go to the same pickup/dropoff point.
If the child is too young to be able to identify numbers and letters (which again, I doubt) then it is the parents job to teach this.
This is why the standard editor would have to be smart enough to ensure it doesn't "open" a file with the executable bit set to 1. Maybe this is too much to ask. A little AI. Sigh, I know.
Man, wouldn't it be great, if the window 7 filesystem contained, oh I dunno, a bit that one could turn on and off, telling the OS that this file was an executable or not?
DBMS is serious business, and best when it is not learned from a kindergarten book. 'Can you do the job well', is the most loaded question ever; who would ever answer no? I usually ask what technical books the prospective person is currently reading anyways, and typically, good DBA's tend to read good books, not introductory guides written in crayons.
SELECT count(1) FROM book_collection WHERE book_type = 'DORK' AND book_summary like '%childish%';
One Row Returned.
I am seriously suspect of demographic this book is attempting to sell to. I shall put on my list of questions to potential hiree's; have you read this book?
If the answer is yes, it's an automatic no for the job.
Where does your friend teach? My gf is a full-time teacher in Alberta, and she gets paid around $50k/yr, which is nothing to sneeze at, a fair wage, but nowhere near $90k/yr...
This is actually the wrong line of thinking. I've been on projects that are starting to get bogged down, and nearly missing milestones, so the management just adds more people.
Sorry, but adding more people != shortening time lines. Usually it works the opposite.
I suspect either
A) The milestones were improperly set -> Nearly impossible to reach
B) Key people left the project -> Gotta pay good people the wage they deserve
Finally, a testbed so we can see if this ruling has a detrimental effect on the artists, the economy, or the industry(Spanish, that is) as a whole.
Right, so your alternative is to assault the local news guy reporting on the new kitchen being opened up on the corner of broadway and 2nd?
I believe this is a intellectual forum. A forum for intellectuals. Maybe this isn't the best place for you to hang out.

Sir/Ma'am, you truly are a wise [wo]man, capturing the essence in written word. He had all the "right stuff".
That voted, that yes, this was constitutional?
This person should be tarred and feathered.

The full body power glove. This one isn't doomed to failure. Not at all..

Awesome. I make a serious post, and just because it doesn't fall in line with the rest of the sheeple, I get modded flamebait. Democracy in action.

I suggest creating a facebook group and tying a coloured ribbon around the antennae of your car. This is what we do in Canada.
