Amen. I've been playing CS since 1.3, and have to say, the amount of skill people show in CS is.. frankly.. scary. These people I know personally and do not hack. A couple are CAL-o, and one is CAL-i. They have to play on certain servers, servers that welcome better players, because on your standard pubbie noob server, they get banned. Interestingly though, their steam_Id's are all 5 digit. They've been playing since the dawn of time. Mine is :)

Solution: proxy. Your computer connects to a proxy, which then disseminates to all of the P2P hosts. That way the ISP only sees one or two connections.

Wait, the ISP would just have to throttle bandwidth to this server. Nevermind. ^H^H^H

Disagreed. Dad surfing porn is not normal. Hard to define what normal is, but I'm pretty sure thats not it. My dad would come home from work, kick the soccer ball around with me, and then help do the dishes after supper. He would watch a little news before going out to the shop and tightening some bolts for the next day before coming in and putting me to sleep and then doing.. uh.. whatever to mom.
I am part of the digital age, my father is not. Dads should not be glued to the intahrweb surfing porn, instead should be "fathers".

Promise me, if you ever produce offspring, you throw your hunk of crap computer out and engage in activities with your son or daughter.

I have a CompSci degree myself, and although games are one of my passions, I have never heard of a reputable "gaming college".

I had an offer to work at EA, because I have a couple buddies who work there. All I had to do was pick up DirectX (easy, learn as you go), I coded this ocean simulator with a boat, that fires cannons at icebergs (laughable, it was a demo!) and boom, I was in. I turned it down.

Point being, you don't have to have a "gaming degree" to build games. You have to be smart. Just like working for one of these blue-chip companies. With the right connections/resume, you probably wouldn't even need a degree, if you were smart enough. smrt.

Well, I work on the bottom end of a project (database dev, admin), and while I recognize it is extremely important to have great leaders, spoil them with benefits and trips and free lattes, lets not forget the grunt staff that work ridiculous hours to achieve these sometimes impossible milestone achievements. Its a two way street, and both are equally important.
If it weren't for PM staff, the dev's wouldn't know what to do. If it wasn't for the dev's, nothing the PM's asked would get done.
