You know the police have "radar detector detectors", right? And by your logic since only speeders would have these devices, police should be able to ticket you just for having a radar detector. Neat, huh?
Obama is intelligent and very slick. After listening to G.W. speak for nearly 8 years now, it's no wonder Americans like what he says.
But I can't vote for him because he is just so far away from me on the issues. He supports universal health care (though his stance is still better than Hillary's), he's anti-gun, supports giving illegal immigrants drivers licenses, he's pro-choice and voted against banning partial-birth abortion, wants to raise income and capital gains taxes... I could go on, but you get the idea.
I don't know why McCain's camp never mentions this.
This is because in addition the normal ladder, a woman also has a friends ladder.
The friends ladder is where a woman puts guys that she considers "just friends". More to the point where she puts guys who don't get to have sex with her.
The problem arises because a woman never lets a guy know which ladder he is on. Obviously there is a huge difference, or gap between these two ladders.
Anyone know how to move from one ladder to the other?
I've heard that many times before and don't believe it. I see women all the time who think they can talk on their phones and drive at the same time. They don't keep up with traffic and miss important hazards (and slam on their brakes at the last minute to avoid them).
I do think they are more easily distracted, and so they may interpret this as having the ability to multitask.
"Yeah. I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for, uh, pobably another hour after lunch too. I'd say in a givin week, I probably do about 15 minutes of real, actual work."
Would you support mandatory liability insurance in other areas like employment? What about mandatory insurance that covers more than third party liability, like Hilary's health care plan? What are the criteria for making insurance mandatory do you think?
Maybe I'm mistaken, but weren't Doom, Descent, et al using 8-bit color? Quake I believe used 16-bit color for its textures. In fact, 3dfx's demise came about when the Voodoo3 (1999) didn't support 32-bit color.
Bah, I say we all leave our WAPs open, or at least open them to SIP/Skype/VOIP. Only problem then is they wouldn't have good enough range, especially in sparsely populated areas.
I've always wondered why a tiny cell phone can transmit data to a cell tower miles away, when cordless phones and wi-fi cards have a range of only a few hundred meters. Is there a technical/cost reason, or just a legal one?
It's a bigger threat in places like schools, where students (sometimes) have access to the staff wired networks.
And of course, if you use wireless that's unencrypted or barely encrypted (ie, with WEP), you're susceptible to this too. Even if you plug your computer in, if there is a wireless access point on the same subnet, you can be ARP poisoned.
And unlike CableCARD, broadcast HDTV has...NO DRM! And no box to pay rental fees for and have yet another remote to control it.
Standard-def analog cable TV does this well. Why should we pay more for HDTV and have so many headaches?
Interesting. We have "music" CDs in the US too. I wonder if they subsidize the music industry.
Trouble is, if that's how it's going to work, will they give my money to my favorite bands? After all, if I'm gonna pay for music, I want the money to go artists I like, not ones I don't.
Well, they could make money and reduce everyone's power consumption by raising the price of power.
Is there any reason why people can't buy solar panels and put them on their roofs? Are they too expensive? Ugly? Do they not provide enough power for the average home?
I still live in my parents' house so I don't have a say in the matter.
...that everyone knows what we already know, people like my mother who think most artists make millions from CD sales will get the picture: the RIAA doesn't care about artists' profit- just its own.
As I registered Republican who voted for Bush in 2004, I have to say that this administration has become corrupt. For six years, they had a one-party system with control of both houses and the presidency. The administration has been way too secretive and needs more transparency. I still think Iraq was the right thing to do, but we have gone about it the wrong way.
Whoever gets elected, I hope the other party gets control of congress.
Actually, radar detector manufactures have already "cracked" those. Plus, here (California), radar detectors are legal.

That's the point. Windows function calls are difficult to learn and understand, just like women.
Woman:
Man:I think Bill Gates invented women's body language, and Linus invented men's. Woman: bool sex(Man theMan) { LPHANDLE sex = fopen(m_enc_vagina, "r"); assert (timeOfMonth != bad); do { sex = mood_of_female != bitch ? (sha1_crack(sex) ^ sex) : buy_stuff(expensive_store); } while (sex == null); return trySex(sex, theMan); } Man: bool sex(Woman theWoman) { dup2(penis, theWoman->vagina); }
Darwin to the rescue!
Oblig. Office Space quote:
"Yeah. I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for, uh, pobably another hour after lunch too. I'd say in a givin week, I probably do about 15 minutes of real, actual work."
Volcano insurance?

That's probably because in China, they don't have to worry about customers suing them if they download viruses, run botnets, etc.
Apparantly, because companies keep doing it.
Oh, someone told me it was 80%
Sounds like a good first step towards Star Trek-style sensors.
We don't need to get rid of software patents, we just need to get people to review them that know what the hell they're reading.
I don't pay property tax on my computer, my TV, or my bed. Property tax is a tax on real estate.
If I write code and release it under GPL, should I have to pay for that copyright too?
Or "mind if I hide in the closet while you're making love to your woman? Oh come on, I'll be quiet! You won't even know I'm there!"
