So what!!! You have a 10 gig drive and you can't spare a thousand bytes for credits?? There is nothing wrong with wanting a little credit for your work. RMS is an ass.
Perhaps. But the people accessing the site can make their own petitions also, so it isn't that bad. Very few of the petitions have more than 20 signatures (except of course the ones that get posted on slashdot) -- it hasn't been a very effective forum so far, but it could be...
Uh, nearly every game these days has a free beta. Even some microsoft games! Blizzard is lame, unless you like having your registry sent around the internet w/o your permission.
All their adventure games were that stupid "guess the right keyword" or "go through the maze" type crap. No thinking involved at all. I guess they wanted to make money selling Hint books or hint hotlines.
I hope that Yahoo-like script includes broken link checking and removal. I know the "real" Yahoo's sure doesn't. I think it is because they want to advertise more links than they actually have (at least 35% are nonfunctional). I also hope it adds new links faster than the "real" yahoo!
PS: Stephenie Seymour is probably the worst looking of them all. Look at some of the other models.
If I am recalling the demo correctly, you can switch between several different vehicles, from tanks to helicopters to trucks. It's no competition to Quake but it's still pretty cool.
Soon you are going to be required to have various certificates to get a linux job. Now you can still fake it "They aren't any certification programs for Linux" but sooner or later the suits will find out that there are, and you'll be unemployeed unless you are a "RedHat Certified Engineer." Just like today for example, even if you know how to work on a cisco router, you still have to have a pricey cisco certification before anyone will believe you. It's all a scam.
What good is Corel Draw? What is it supposed to do? I know someone who uses Corel Draw in Windows, but they don't do anything that I can't do just as easily in Photoshop (or gimp)... Not that I'd use it anyway-- I try to avoid binary-only applications when I can.
You compete with the email programs in web browsers by creating a better email program the the browser's. The web browser emailers are absolute garbage.. I'm suprised more people weren't using it. Oh well, Eudora is still that official Windows mail client at my office.
And at least half of their links are broken. Yahoo is the poorest example of webmastering that I've ever seen. Just because it runs a cool OS does not make it a cool site.
Hahaha! I love that sig11 icon in the screenshot...
Photoshop has been ported to the various UNIXes, just not Linux.

32 Bits Online? Is this a 32 bit camera? :)
Who is Jerry Falwell?
Hmm I still haven't been able to fill up my 1 gig drive! :)
You can still tell because their file extensions will be .htm, right?

"Open Source" doesn't mean anything to me. Is it a BSD license, GPL, ?? Or some other legal mumbojumbo thing like NPL or QPL?
PS: Will I get sued for not putting "TM" after the words Open Source?
What is a "geekport" ? Sounds like some kind of cybersex application.. eheh
What is the name "eBay" supposed to mean? Just a nonsense word? I couldn't find any info on their site.

Not to mention it takes at least 10 seconds for the page to render, locking up netscape in the process :(

Yes, Linux is all about commercialisation. I don't think I need to say anything else.

You know you can change the config.. with WMPrefs or whatever. You can setup keys and mice to do whatever you want. It's easy.
Yeah, that alt+1 alt+2 alt+3, etc really strains the wrist. Hah.
