Public companies do whats best for their stock holders...

Private companies who see $$$ signs when MS come to them... Obviously sell out.

Blame whoever made this deal with MS not MS, For MS this is natural for their company, for Bungie it is obviously painful.

Time to bring out some of my fun sayings about cars.

Me talking to a mechanic about 4 years ago when I was just getting into cars,

Me: So.. how fast can you make it?
Mechanic: Well.. how much money do you have?

    Me:Seriously?? :-P

hehe, those basically apply to computers to kind of proves computers are a guy thing ;)

I cant tell you the countless dollars ive spent on my car.

It starts out with some simple thing like I want a supercharger charger installed, the mechanic is like well to really get full use from it you need a new x and a new y and a new z really wouldn thurt

So the dollars signs roll and roll and finally I have enough to have this work done :-P

Kind of reminds me when I upgraded my Video card, really I needed a new processor and more ram to get any use out of the darn thing :-P

But.. after about several thousand dollars and a little luck I can run with just about anything you see on the road, save the occasional Turbo 911.. which escapes me by about 3/10 of a second on the qm :-p

Anyways you see my point, you have the money it will go faster

This is mildly off topic but I have something to point out now. Intel and AMD in their ultimately stupid pissing contest have flooded the market with chips and will continue to do so. They are going to be so fierce in pushing out these bad @$$ systems that they are not stopping to really smell the roses, not like they would ever give each other the choice. Intel wants to stay on top, AMD wants to be on top just for once at any cost (no AMD is not on top Intel still out sells them a lot)

Okay so Billy Joe bob bought a 600 MHz PIII with 128MB of ram, chances are billy joe bob isnt going to NEED another system to run anything in the near future at least 3-5 years.

With SO many chips out there, most investors are making Intel and AMD just decent buys now not strong buys.

This pissing contest does create a plethora of cheap powerful chips, but if the demand starts dropping off for them (which it is predicted it will) then these companies have essentially hurt themselves.

They are right now creating a market full of bigger/faster chips and thats great but I have heard a saying work smarter, not harder and for some reason it seems to fit here.

Do more with the same, not more with more. Meaning please start redesigning processors that are more friendly, yes I know its not always possible and there is a tradeoff somewhere.. But I think the tradeoff should be a lot less.

These polls barely have kernels;) of truth in them at all. They ask totally off the wall questions like "Do you like what clinton did in this bill, which they know most people will answer yes to, and then they convert that to a rating of the nations opinon of clinton."
