Gasp.... kids are pressing buttons in a game. Hey Mom and Dad... supervise your kids and what they do. Problem solved. I never cease to be amazed how found money (refunded money) can bring out the worst in people.... people are willing to look like irresponsible victims for a few bucks. Dignity and selfrespect are out the window if the price is right.
Don't resist arrest? Don't plan on it, but that won't stop the cop from "narrating" what he wants others to believe what is happening. Case in point, cop pulls over a guy and walks up to the car knowing he's being recorded by his dashcam and has on a wireless mic. You hear the cop say "stop reaching for my gun" and see him lean in the car window. It looks like the guy has tried to take the cop's gun. The truth is that there is a 2nd cop car with a dash cam recording from an angle that allows you to see the driver's hands clearly on the steering wheel, even as the cop leans in his car to unbuckle his seat belt. The cop drags him out the car and throws him on the ground. The guy tries to break his fall and the cop starts shouting "stop resisting". This really happened... google Marcus Jeter New Jersey. The cops and the DA conspired to conceal the 2nd dashcam that showed the driver's hands/not/ reaching for the cops gun.
The problem is that we are spending so much time trying to teach to the kids who don't value education we are failing those who could succeed. For example, when I kid falls behind, the school is incentivised to not fail the child. Instead they give the other children in the classroom busywork and pull one or two aside to spend extra time with them. This time is time/not/ spent advancing the smarter kids. Indeed, our ideal of giving all children the same education is simply pulling down the smarter kids. It's a shame that someone in the UK has to point it out to us.
I hate to be a hater, but if you are ragging on a guy for misspelling SIGHTED, you should not misspell Genious (Genius). Not to be confused with a beer by a similar name.
I used a surface pro for all of about 2 hours and returned it to the store. I was lined up to pay >$900 for a surface pro that didn't come with a keyboard. The touch screen in win8 isn't even smart enough to pop up an on screen keyboard when I touch a blank to type. I have to make the keyboard pop up, then move the screen around to see what I'm typing if the kb covers it up. Amazingly unintuitive. Couple this with a GUI that keeps funneling me into the puzzle pieces view... and trying to find apps that are not organized in alphabetical order..... again, amazingly unintuitive. Now they tell us it has a 3:2 aspect ratio? WhoTF is making these decisions?
And most peon employee level remote access (ie blue cross blue shield) is done with Citrix, so thin clients could prevail if business would only stop to consider it.
Felons are not citizens... well they are citizens again once their sentence is served. They cannot vote, they cannot own guns. They forfeit their rights against search and seizure. Where WE screwed up in the GCA 1968 where we never gave them back their gun rights.
Will fire 10 inches.... so the bad guy holds my wife by the neck and she clutches at his arm choking her trying to pull it away... where is her arm? within 10 inches of the gun pointed at her head. bang goes the supposedly safe gun.
In my case back in high school, I went to the principal several times. The last day it happened, I punched the bully. We ended up in teh office and the principal outright lied and said he hadn't spoken to me yesterday about this very issue. Further, they suspended me for throwing the first punch... because I couldn't prove the guy had pushed me from behind. Taught me a lesson. Screw the authorities. If you're damned if you do and damned if you don't, you may as well do.
Ohh and from the same episode involving the first time home buyers tax credit, since my ex and I filed as married that tax year (we divorced that same year and I didn't realize we had to file as single), AND I'd gotten the home buyer tax credit, that money had to be paid back. No problem... if it's due, it's due. I paid it back and 3 years of penalties and interest. OK. The IRS continues to garnish $250 a year from the ex's income tax returns since that was the original payback schedule for that tax credit. She's gone to them with the cancelled check showing the debt was paid and they won't accept it. She's asked that they look at the tax year in which I repaid the debt and they say they can't since we're weren't married in that year. So she's stuck for the next 15 years paying back a debt that's already satisfied.
Even more fun.... I was audited by the IRS a few years ago and they asked for documentation 2-1/2 years past the filing date. I sent them paperwork as requested. They sent me letter after letter saying they were over worked and needed 45 additional days. Come July 27 of the following year (3 years 3 months form the filing date), they sent me a bill. I objected to the bill because they had negated my claim of head of household. They said sorry charlie, you can't make changes to your tax return after 3 years... but THEY DID. They said it was their rule and it only applied to the tax payer, not to them. seriously.
Also, I sent them a check once. It was delivered on thier requested due date. I sent it by USPS and it was post marked two days prior. They charged me a late fee. When I showed them their policy about USPS vs FEDEX/UPS and the postmark being a legal date, they said that didn't apply. The date used was when the check cleared the bank.
They don't even follow their own rules.
...and my coworker found that someone overseas filed taxes for him. The IRS can't figure it out, so he's now got two returns filed this year, one valid and one forgery. Efile for over seas is a boon to the scammers, eh?
Until you make enough money so that the fee your accountant charges isn't deductible... nor is child care credit... meanwhile the person dressed up as the statue of liberty on the side of the street is giving away $9600 a pop of (un)earned income credit to people who had more kids than they can afford. I'm supposed to feel good about taking care of my fellow (irresponsible) man.
I got a letter from the IRS in 1993 that said they'd found a math error on my 1040. I had over paid my tax by $17. Some months later I got a letter from a different department of the IRS saying that since my 1040 had been altered after April 15th, there was a $20 penalty. I owed them $3. I spoke to several layers of supervisors and finally one of them told me that they would waive anything less than $5. I never paid that "debt". Only the IRS can turn +17 into -3.
Am I the only one who wants to know more about how they ruled out the northern arc with doppler data? If the satellite is sitting over the equator, it would seem each arc would have the same phasing between two antennas....or are there three to make a spot beam?

Maybe it's a two-fer... they plan to use the immigrants to mine asteroids? What's next? Profit of course!
Does America even have jurisdiction above 100km? WTF????

The poison fruit of the poison tree. Inadmissible evidence.
Yes, that's nice, but how many Libraries of Congress is that?

SOunds like a great case for jury nullification.... what a shame minors aren't subject to jury trials.
HOw will they charge the boy with wiretapping if they made him delete the evidence?

Bingo... that's what probate is for.

Errr... I thought that was 400hz for aircraft AC?? That meant smaller transformers.
Gosh, I just put an IR emitter on my dash flashing at 14.025hz and the lights are always green for me.... what's so new in TFA?
