My favorite book is Accelerated C++ by Koenig n Moo. It's C++ taught as a language w/ a library. It's not taught as C w/ classes tacked on as an afterthought. Check it out.
You will spend the rest of your life learning C++, anyone who says they "know" the language is either lying or deluding yourself. After you're done w/ Accelerated C++, pick up Modern C++ Design by Alexandrescu. Also get a subscription to C/C++ Users Journal.
However, the point is, what is Blender trying to be?
It's just trying to be what its users want it to be. I know that sounds ridiculous, but sit behind someone who *really* knows how to use it and watch them in action. It's magical. I feel like less of a man because I don't understand it, and I keep telling myself that *this summer* I'm really going to sit down and learn it.
Why don't they attach GPS trackers to each player, render the game in progress on a billboard in Times Square? I'm sure they could find sponsors and stuff.
Japan was nuked, something no other country has had to suffer, and they were nuked as a result of their imperial government waging war all over the Pacific. It's made them truly understand the advantages of pacifism. It shows up in anime and manga too, I think.
Shenmue II. Of course, I had to import it from Europe which meant using the annoying boot disk, but it had full Japanese voice acting w/ decent subtitles, so it kicked ass.
I totally understand what you're saying, but it's still embarrassing for us and a public relations coup for them. The Chinese and the Europeans are already cooperating on a GPS alternative, right?
Huh, I can definitely see what they're saying, I get made fun of all the time for having sweaty hands.
However, the lede made me think of summer and electricity. When the weather gets warmer, I'm planning to turn my comp off at sunrise and not turn it back on until it gets dark out. When this year's repeated blackouts happen, I don't want to feel guilty about it, you know?
It's difficult to argue against someone who just insulted you by calling you "brain damaged". Best to take a deep breath, count to 10, and ignore the fucker and go back to surfing while digging them phat beats.
The last time something pissed this man off royally, we got GNU... right?

When someone kicks you in the face, you gotta fight back! These Benedict Arnold CEOs are sending our jobs overseas, and you're ok w/ that?
There's alot more of us than there are of them, if the government won't listen to us, we gotta vote them out pronto.
If no one stands up and protests what they think is wrong, how do things get better?
Thou shalt not steal.
I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

Maybe some innovative developer will eventually come up w/ a video game where the goal is to prevent a war?

Here's to Shenmue III, whenever they decide to make it! ::toast::

If PJ is so important, why did she have to submit the story anonymously?
This blog looks 50 times more useful than CodeProject. I may never get anything done if I just sit here and reading new stories as they come in.
Yeah, this isn't about PC games in general, but Penny Arcade definitely addressed this.
Which web browsers on Linux support ActiveX controls?
I need to enable active scripting and ActiveX controls T_T
