Don't you recall another/. discussion about Israeli vs. Palestinians debates on twitter? Which one user cleverly interpreted as jews and arabs following each other on twitter:)
I do understand why they do it. But any computer literate person can walk an easy walk-through steps on how to "root" your G1 and then install cracked app very easily. So who cares if they ban it.
It's mostly geeks who buy these iphones I reckon, so most of them will be able to still tether away!:)
I quite like mine, tethering works very well, but it kills battery instantly.
I absolutely use exactly same thing you just described:) just move email address from TO: field to BODY:. Because there were few times I accidentally clicked "Send".
As far as this 5 second thing, I wish in your prefs you could extend that time margin from 5 second to more.
Well, developer has utmost freedom to redesign theme from scratch or mod currently available ones, here are some websites done in drupal, check it out:
I love it, especially how they redesigned tabs. The only thing I'd love to see is ability to configure (on Mac) COMMAND+1..9 shortcut to switch between tabs. I haven't found a way to achieve that yet, has anyone?
Have you checked latest IE8 build? I did not create web site for shits and giggles, I've created a number of serious websites which I had to test on IE8, starting with very first release candidate, and of course, which I had to create separate stylesheets for like so:
<!--[if gte IE 8]>
And I have to submit to you that amount of fixes needed for IE8 is minimal and that is a huge improvement considering it's IE, and that makes me happy as developer. Microsoft was kind enough to create a readiness toolkit as well:) And no I am not IE user and I am not Windows user. I am just being realistic. What you expect Microsoft to release a browser that will be compatible with Firefox or Safari?
Have you looked at Developer Tool on IE8? That thing is tremendous help for developers.
On one Russian podcast radio-t, there was interview with IE8 architect who submitted that IE8 is the most compliant browser on the market. That is why things look broken on some sites, and that is because Firefox is being considered a benchmark when it fact it isn't. Because it itself is not 100% compliant.
Entire interview is available for download, it's in Russian.
And please note, I haven't gone and checked how close this architect is to the truth about compliance, I am marely relaying to you what I heard.
I am still happy for IE8 and that will be a better world when all IE6 and IE7 users will move on to IE8, if their OS (Windows 95...2000) allows it of course.
I am a web developer as well and I have been frustrated by some things in ie6. When jQuery and some other libraries help me avoid having to create individual forks for ie6 when it comes to front end scripting, layout is a big nightmare in ie6. 7.0 is much better when it comes to css at least; not idea, not good, but better.
I have been thinking about timing, too. And from your stand point, I guess this campaign is a failure. Because they probably should have started it after IE8 has become final release.
I guess if you do not give them Microsoft's option, the other side gets pissed off.
In fact a while ago I've created a little script called killie6, when I posted on linkedin group to ask professional opinion about it, many declared it desceptive, violating user's choice, etc, etc.
I just switched to G1 from iPhone about a week ago, and I had very same problem with it before, in fact discussed here on slashdot with other users why I don't like G1 -- It appeared to be very fragile:) well I was wrong.
I am quite like G1 now, and believe it or not qwerty has grown on me. However if a super thin android phone comes out, I'll be all over it. G2 is still not that good looking.
Often times don't matter. Most of the Web Developers or Web Designers have many overlapping duties.
NASDAQ%3ADELL have been doing quite well lately.
You asked before? I might have missed. It just means I work here that's all.

Interesting, could be my next generation carputer.
Unlikely there is any terrestrial activity on Jupiter.
HEhe:) good point, never thought about that option!
Yeah, exactly, hence the insignificance of this news announcement.

:) and we have to put up with being blamed being 24 hr late with Apr 1 jokes.
Indeed, lazy MoFo's!
Sure you wanna carry that burden with you for the rest of your life, ALL CAPS achievement that is. :)

hm, I didn't know that, do they (pandora, hulu) ban you by IP address?
There are many alternatives (imeem.com, pandora.com, blip.fm, etc), so I doubt many will pay.
Not always true, here is proof.

more here and here.
I completely agree however, drupal != dreamweaver.
Yes, I think that used to work on older version. What didn't work on older versions was CMD+TAB :) and it works on Safari 4!

But personally, I still think it's a good effort.
By all means, it isn't perfect at all. But don't you agree it's the best effort on their part to date? I would say so.

IE8 is quite close to compliant. And IE7, yes, it is significant improvement.
