And in EU you pay full price of the device. If you buy it without contract that is. What is this novice concept in USA that everyone's so freaked out about? You buy a phone, you pay its retail price. It's normal.

There are two plans at T-Mobile. One is when you get cheap phone, you pay $99 all unlimited. Or (!) you get identical T-Mobile plan for only $79 ($20 less per month). But you do pay for the phone yourself; you do not get subsidized. If you do the math, on most of the phones you _will_ save money if you pay full price for the phone.
Probably this one with [attempted] more usability than built-in one. The problem with either is that it's aGPS and accuracy is still making these not as usable as conventional GPS navs.
Absolutely, not arguing that:) my friend, almost like you, is still running Win 95 from home; on top of that he's hosting tiny personal web server on that machine. He spends his spare time (for fun) patching and making sure that machine is secure.

Up to date we have been able to not ever use seatbelts. I guess insurance is next. We still don't have to have vehicles ensured. Not saying it's a good thing. Just stating a fact.
How about you setup this laptop in a trunk of your car and run some wires to the dash. Instead of radio deck, you could put touch screen and have a thing called "carputer". You can find more info here: mp3car.com.

I didn't really know what social networking was back then:) I just exchanged banners and links with my college friends. Spent most of my free time hacking together page:)
Nothing lost but sad. I remember those days of geocities prospering. But I was more tripod.com guy than geocities. Hope tripod.com will live for longer. I am actually using it still for something.
I know a person who is using Windows 95, and spends all his space time patching it:) So Windows 2000 is not surprising. They still have AOL dial-up to go with it.
Don't forget themers. Quite new term, my spell check says such word doesn't exist. But with a huge growth of drupal, joomla, typo3 developers, in those communities "themer" is a known term.
And some of those guys don't like to be called anything else but that. And I know some think themer is a copy'n'paster, trust me, at least in a drupal world, themer is more than just design. It's quite a bit of scripting involved.

Of course not, what about Windows 95/Me/2000 users? One of those systems cannot run IE7 if I recall correctly.
