    There's absolutely no difference between someone in your organization not knowing a specific piece of the company's property has actually been lost and whatever nefarious deeds, for example taking all of a poor old grandmother's savings because little Johnny downloaded one song, you want to lambast the RIAA for. Nope. None at all. One totally isn't not knowing your inventory is missing while the other is actively [per|pro]secuting someone. Nope. Totally the same thing.

    The thing is, even it it wasn't Apple's property it still wasn't YOUR property to sell. So your brief period of attempted honesty won't really help when you go and immediately sell it to someone else for 5k.

    Yeah, 'cause all corporations have perfect and instant total information awareness throughout all levels of employees and branches of their offices so it's totally like dealing directly with a person who lost a wallet (assuming you are asking the right person in the first place).

    My vote is that yes, yes he is.

    Apple doesn't get to call out SWAT. The Cops use SWAT for everything these days. Apple wouldn't need SWAT anyways as they have their Black Turtleneck Ninja Corps.

    Given that anything bigger than a firecracker can get you a WMD charge these days, probably.

    I remember back in the day when WMDs were real WMDS. City-killers. Weapons of genocide. Now it's anything that goes boom. So with the modern usage, there were WMDs in Iraq.

    This is exactly what everyone howling for Sony's blood is telling the industry to do.

    Nothing beyond barebones capabilities will be 'on the box'. Everything else will be from "free" promotional one-time non-transferable vouchers that allow you to access a service which unlocks a certain feature.

    "It's all about not allowing unapproved apps to play on the iProduct." If that were the case why is Apple still allowing "ad hoc" distribution for those with dev licenses? Those apps never have to be approved by Apple.

    What about non-flash web based apps? Why isn't Apple blocking those? Apple doesn't have to approve them either.

    Some people will (still) use the " 40 different versions of Imagine Babysitter and Pony Lover DS and whatever else crap takes up 90% of the Nintendo sections in stores" as a reason to justify pirating "a FFVI 3D remake and how about a new Kid Icuras, or New Super Mario Bros. 2 with bigger worlds and the racoon suit from SMB3".

    You mean asking someone who is already lawfully detained on some other suspicion?

    Read the law, they don't get to stop people for BWM and ask them for their papers. It is pretty clearly laid out in the law such that even the most incompetent civil rights lawyer could win if a cop pulled this.

    Actually, with all the fallout from Mexico becoming a failed state drifting over the border this law while probably increase tourism as it will appear someone is doing something to stem the tide of the invasion from Mexico.

    This is supposed to be the Feds' job, someone is supposed to be doing this already.

    That's like saying you're a master cabinet maker because you put your Ikea kit together in two hours and that anyone who takes longer to make any cabinet is an idiot.

    I'm pretty sure Apple has a bit more involved in their system than what one guy could setup, test and manage.

    "condemn an entire industry because of one accident" ... one accident and their complete lack of preparedness for it.

    If it was some fly-by-night corp, this would be expected. BP is a bit bigger and more established and should have had measures in place to deal, or attempt to deal, with this sort of scenario. And considering they seem to cook off a rig or two (in the event hurricanes don't do it for them) when ever it looks like oil prices aren't where they want them to be at they should at least be prepared to deal with the cleanup.

    Ok, so why not make an ObjC/C/C++ to Flash compiler like the Flash to Apple App compiler?

    I'd also like to point out that there are free apps, even games, in the app store. X% of 0 is *drumroll* 0, so there is a segment of the app market that generates no direct profit for Apple other than the dev fee and may even be generating revenue for the dev by in app ads (that need not be done through the upcoming baked in Apple ad services).
