  1. Take a look at that census on eGenesis to Develop New MMO with Orson Scott Card · · Score: 2, Interesting

This makes it pretty obvious to me. Look at the levels people are reaching...

The levels are Student, Apprentice, Journeyman, Scribe... we'll stop there cause no one has gotten and further.

Now, looking at architecture, the highest level reached is apprentice.
Art & Music, NO ONE RANKS,
Body? Yeah, some apprentices here (you have to have a good body to fight)
    Leadership, one Journeyman...
    Thought, a few students
Worship, a decent amount here, not playing the game, I dont' know what benefits this gives.
Conflict: Wow, 8 people have made it to j'man here. Only worship scores higher.

So, the two most desired attributes are to be a good fighter and to be worshiped. Tells me that a non-fighting game is doomed.

I'll admit, I haven't played (well, I played the first when it was free) I'm getting all my info from the chart, so I may be all washed up.

Now why can't apple make a dock for an ipod that will last for at least 10 years. On the other hand, no one expects that the ipod they bought in 2010 will work with the BMW they bought in 2004. Either way, I stand by my dock argument.

Yes, a dock. Who said it has to be out in the open. If security is such a concern, hell put a dock in the glove compartment. Open it up, slide in iPod, close compartment. Or maybe the dock can be in the center console. Or maybe it can be in the dash wher the ipod slides all the way in, and a door covers it up. No one can see if it's there or not.

It sure as hell beats trying to fumble around with a little cable in the dark, trying to figure which end is up, getting it lined up and then just throwing it in the glove compartment. That just seems like an unfinished product to me.

  25. A CABLE!!!??? UGH on iPod Your BMW Officially Launched · · Score: 5, Interesting

Come on, you have to plug in a cable and throw it in the glove compartment? What a hack! I could modify my car to do that, and put an LCD screen on the dash to show me what I'm playing. Hell, you can probably buy that already. Before I watched the video, I though the BMW would have some sort of dock that either I sat my iPod in, or even cooler, a slot, like a tape deck, that I shoved my ipod in. Now THAT would be cool. This is not what I call "Seamless integration" I think in the future car stereo's are going to come with a media bay, just like printers do now. I slap in my SD/xD/MMC/Memory Stick or whatever and the stero reads the ID3's and playlists. Off I go. And laptops will come with built in FM transmitters to broadcast their audio to my home entertainment center or car stereo... I would love to sit in my living room, play a FPS and have it all come out the stereo. No Wires.
